Not worth the money !!

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: clean
Though clean, The traffic noise was bad even though we were about 75 yards from the main street. The heating system was extremely loud and woke us up every time it started. Taking a shower was a joke because I waited 10 min. for hot water at 4:am and never got any !! The placard near the TV says channel 99 was the guide but proved to be untrue. The clerk gave some lame excuse about the cable company. Take the placards out until you get it resolved. The bedding was a joke !! For a cold winter night you got a sheet a thin blanket with another sheet on top. Yea, that kept us warm. For the money spent there was NO VALUE.

I reserved 2 rooms, 1 handicapped for 3 people for 2 nights & 1 double for 1 night. When the other party arrived, there was no reservation, no handicapped room, handicapped rooms had only 1 bed, & both rooms were smoking rooms! I had talked to a person on the phone, & had specifically asked for non smoking rooms. Needless to say, we had to cancel & stay somewhere else. I will never stay at a Best Western again!

We received a smoking room which we did not want. Women at deck gave us a can of spray, which didn't help at all. A loud group of people talking down stairs out front a 1am.

Looked nice outside, but looks are deceiving

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: I liked the exterior and the location.
Cons: Needs new staff, and a REAL remodel, not just a surface job.
The outside of the hotel is lovely and its near downtown...but that's where the fun ends. The hotel staff were awful-sitting behind the counter with their feet up, not attentive. I had to ask for help several times. The room was not in great shape-it's an older place that they have tried fixing up, but it didn't work. AC didn't work good-had to have them work on it twice in 2 days. Beds were old and need replacing. The breakfast was not good-probably the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. There's no space, food is not kept up. Very disappointed.

Our stay was a very comfortable stay. The location of our hotel has convenient and close to all the local vendors and night life. Would come back again.

Shaky start

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness
Location: Right in downtown, close to everything
Started with problem with booking, somehow they had us down for 3 different rooms when we only had one. The guy at the front desk showed attitude when we told him it was only one room saying they've been turning people away all day. We said that wasn't our fault, he hemmed & hawed with us. Finally he apologized & let us know they'd fix the problem & help in any way they could. The room was nice & clean, the breakfast was good & we'll attended to by constantly getting checked & refilled. Overall, a good experience even with a shaky start.

Disappointing Stay

Posted Apr 14, 2014
We ended up in this hotel because we used Expedia's unpublished rates. Never again at this hotel and never again with Expedia's unpublished rates. We found boxer briefs left there by the previous occupant under the desk.
