Disappointed with Country Inn and Suites

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Cons: Once the remodel is complete the hotel will probably be fine.
We were disappointed with the room they gave us. It was next to the pool and lobby and across from the ice machine. The room was smelly and the carpets and curtains were very dirty and stained. The room was obviously in need of an update which the staff said was going to occur soon. We had booked a double queen room for ourselves and our granddaughter. When we asked if there was another room they said that the only room they could give us was a king room with a pull out sofa for an upgrade costing $20 per night. We took that room but found the pull out to be extremely uncomfortable. Our granddaughter was anxious to swim in the pool but we found that they were giving swimming lessons to toddlers from the community so it would be crowded.

Nice Hotel

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Easy access. Nice part of the City.
Nice hotel although we were at the front desk when several other guest were checking in and they were all given free upgrades. We were also passing by the desk at a later time and another guest was given a free upgrade. Our room was fine but I guess if you book through the website you aren't eligible for a free upgrade.

Close to the University, Freeways and Shopping

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Proximity to the freeway, shopping and Clovis
Cons: The condition of the furnishings, bathroom tile and bath enclosure were showing their age
Location: Fresno State, plenty of restaurants, old town Clovis
The hotel is freeway close and yet very quiet. The staff is friendly. The breakfast choices were good and the serving area was clean and well supplied.

Pros: I liked the hotel well enough to book again in the future.
Cons: Bathroom maintenance.
The hotel was OK. The staff went out of the way to accommodate our needs. Good breakfast and coffee. Local papers provided. Pool and spa.
