“better than i expected”
The look of the hotel from the outside is what really impressed me. When you pull up out front, you look like you are staying in a 5-star hotel. The customer service is also very good. I almost had a problem with the reservation, but the gal at the front desk said that she would take care of it. And take care of it, she did. The beds were a little on the uncomfortable side, but i would definitely recommend this to anyone.
“A wonderful lowcost hotel!”
The hotel and restaurant were clean and tidy, the food was very good. All together, it was a very comfortable stay.
“Clean, affordable lodgings.”
We always stay at the Madera Valley Inn when traveling through the Central Valley. Clean, affordable lodgings.
“Madera Valley Inn - Calm and Clean”
Perfect place to stay for the price, I would say its more that what you pay.
“Lovely stay”
This is a clean and attractive hotel, the staff are relaxed and friendly. Our only problem was with the shower - when setting it for a good stream of hot water, the pipes were extremely noisy. Hope we didn't wake anyone...other than that, this was a lovely place to stay, in addition to being reasonably priced and I would love to stay there again. The breakfast in the restaurant was very nice. We didn't even make it over to the lakes....next time.
“Great Local Hotel”
A very good experience! Easy check-in, comfortable room.
“Awesome hotel at a cheap price.”
Good hotel...can do better without the free breakfast. Clean hotel and I would recommend anyone who is using it as stop over for Yosemite.
“Continental What?”
Over all the Hotel stay was fine. The Continental Breakfast was not worth getting down to the lobby befor 9am. The attached Cafe had strang hours. Alot of Mexican food but that was it, in walking distance. I will stay there again if need be, the price was right.
“Perfect Road Warrier One-Nighter.”
Not a resort hotel, but neither is Madera a resort town. The rooms are nice; there is an openable slider to a miniature balcony with fresh air (sadly lacking in new hotels) and sunset views. In-room coffee service AND free wifi a plus. The hotel is well located for a stroll (northeast) through what's left of El Centro de Madera--just like a stroll through any small ciudad en Mexico, so that was fun --poking through the thrift stores and mueblerias. Passable pizza available four blocks away (southeast) at Downtown Pizza (also for in-room delivery). The adjacent residential neighborhood (northwest) is also a nice one for 20th century architecture (1910 to 1960) and dog walking. Don't miss Debbie's Inn (painted pink) in the next block--with the hand-lettered sign stating, "Rooms $35 for two hours--two persons maximum". Disappointments: unheated pool and a marginal free breakfast in a corner of the attached coffee shop. The exterior could use a fresh coat of paint.
“Satisfied”
The hotel was located just off the 99 Freeway and a short driving distance from my business appointment. The continental breakfast was quite satisfactory. If I were in the area again, I would probably return to stay there.
