Nice hotel, 30 minutes to Fresno.

Pros: The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful providing directions and recommendations for restaurants. The room was clean, decor was modern.
Cons: Room, hotel, and drinking water had a high concentration of bleach or chlorine odor which at times was overwhelming. Hot tub water appeared green.
Location: The Vineyard restaurant had excellent food. The pork tenderloin with fig reduction was better than our dinner at Bottega in Napa.
We were attending Eagles concert in Fresno and needed a nice, clean hotel near by.

Forgot my watch behind, they contacted me soon after cleaning the room and held it until a friend was able to pick it up.

Nice place to stay

Hotel was clean and modern . Staff was pleasant and helpful. We like the bathroom set up with the sink seperate from shower and toilet. Enjoyed the little kitchenette and couch/desk area.

Business brought me to Madera, Ca.

Pros: Check in was easy, there was ample parking, our room and especially the bedding even smelled clean, the small refrigerator, wet bar, and microwave.
Cons: I like an early check in. When I travel a long distance I would like to know that when I get there will be able to get in and shower or just relax.
Location: There are some good restaurants nearby and the county fair.
I was not eager to travel to the central valley in the middle of summer, so I was looking for a place that was close to where I had to go that was clean, cool, and that provided amenities that I would need to conduct my business. I found Springhill Suites by Marriott to have everything I needed. Our reservations were made online, and check in was easy. The staff was both friendly and courteous. There was a wonderful breakfast that was provided in the morning, a newspaper, access to a computer (and printer), and a number of good restaurants in the area that were recommended by the desk clerk. We had everything we needed. The room was exceptionally clean, and we were able to check in a little earlier than the normal 3 PM. check in time.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to hotels, but I had no complaints during my stay. I did read other reviews and called ahead to request that my room be away from the highway and on the top floor. My young daughter was traveling with us and she is a light sleeper. The room was quiet, comfortable, and the cleaning staff went above and beyond on our second day. The room attendant cleaned the bathtub and laid all of my daughter's toys (which were left in the tub) on a towel in rows. Also, this may be the only hotel I have been to where the towels are soft. I have stayed in 5 star hotels in Las Vegas and the towels are more rough than the ones here. We utilized the microwave and the refirgerator, plus the 24/7 coffee and tea bar downstairs. Only thing I can say anything negative about is the Black Bear Diner. The food and service was less than mediocre. I felt like I completely wasted my money. I have been to two other of these diners at different locations before, and they had better food quality.

Hotel was good, front desk very friendly, small continental breakfast. Good place right off the freeway (expect traffic noise if your room faces the freeway). Overall good stay and would book again.
