Never againPosted Feb 17, 2014
First booked room smelled horrible, like moldy wet carpet smell. Besides the selland arena being fairly close there would be nothing good about this hotel. Everything is dead and nothing is going on around that area at night, looked like a ghost town. The staff switched us rooms but what got to us was the fact that he knew what room smelled bad before we even told him.

It was 102 the day we were there the tv and the air contritioner was not working. We had to take cold showers to cool down and even that did not work. We felt like we were in an oven.

Good location. Poor internet.Posted Aug 8, 2013
Cons: steam clean carpets more often and improve internet.
Good location, comfortable and room appeared clean, but after walking on the carpet with out shoes on it left our feet black on the soles if our feet. There is no fast broad band. Internet did not work from the room. We has to sit outside by the pool or in the carpark to get a connection. Advised staff who did not seem too concerned, or did not have knowledge to fix. If internet is not a priority then this place is ok.

run down bluesPosted Jun 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
this hotel is really run down since the last time i stay here, first of all i close my room door to use the restroom and came backinto the room and the door had blown open, the door latch was all messed up, i had to push on the door just to get the bolt to lock, i had to stand on a chair to reach the buttons to turn up the air on their old AC unit, the t.v. was bad kept going in and out on most of the cannels, bathroom could use a remodel(room 201), the area is near the grizzlies ball park that was nice and the staff was great, but the area the hotels in ,there were alot of homeless people within a block or so,as i walked to the ballpark. for the rate they charge i'll stay down the street at the hoilday inn next time.

No Complaints WhatsoeverPosted May 28, 2013
Cons: Surrounding neighborhoods were a little dicey.
Location: Adjacent to the conference center and near excellent restaurants.
This hotel is nothing special, but my stay was pleasant with no complaints whatsoever.

ConvenientPosted May 20, 2013
Pros: Convenient to baseball park; friendly staff
Cons: Carpeting, bed making
Location: Very near the Grizzlies ballpark. Easy to walk to. Right in downtown, so access to downtown attractions would be easy.
We stayed at this hotel because it was close to the Grizzlies ballpark. It was super convenient for that. We could easily walk the two blocks to the park and back again. The staff was friendly, the grounds clean and safe. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioner worked well and the shower was adequate. The room was pretty clean except for the carpet, which badly needs to be replaced. It was dirty and worn. My only other criticism are the way the beds were made. As a former hotel maid, I recognized the flat bottom sheet technique, but the sheets are too small and the mattress pad too thin to really make that work very well. It was very easy to pull the sheets out. One of us ended up sleeping directly on the mattress by the time the night was over. For its convenience to the park, I would stay here again. However, this place needs some upgrades quickly to avoid losing business.

Friendly, helpful staffPosted May 5, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff Close proximity to convention center Refrigerator in room
Cons: Better TV, remote that works Microwave in room
I had a comfortable 3-night stay here. It was a less expensive option than the hotel where our convention was being held. I was in walking distance to the convention, as well as restaurants, Starbucks, everything I needed. The person who checked me in was very welcoming, efficient and helpful with directions. I'd been wary of booking this reservation because of some of the negative reviews I'd seen. But I'd stay here again. If you're not looking for luxury and a good value, this place works.
