“Best Hotel in Madera”
We were there from 4th of July '09 and trip to Yosemite falls. This is the best Family Hotel we have come across . We stayed ther for 3 days and had a fantatsic time. The Hotel had offerred a free barbaque and free firworks were there fro kids. IN totalilty Awesome. I would recommend others to use this.

hotel is in a good location close to freeway. and some shoping center. room was confortable.pool was clean but the chair a little old. overall in was a good hotel to stay in.
“No regrets”
We new that we weren't booking our stay at a luxury property. We could only hope that the reviews online would not lead us astray. The first night at around 11:30 pm, someone felt some urgency to retrieve keys they had locked in their car. We were on the second floor, and said car was right below our window. The service man called in to remedy the situation may well have been an expert, but he must have set off that car's alarm half a dozen times. With the breaking of dawn, what were probably "long term" guests began to leave their dark rooms. It looked like some kind of rehab clinic. Every one of them had a broken limb or signs of substance abuse. They all kept to themselves. Looking on the bright side, it made us feel fit and healthy by comparison. After returning from our first day's outing, we felt ready to give our lodging another chance. At around 9pm the air was quiet. With our arms full of sleepy kids, we trudged up the stairs to our door. Sliding our card in the door flashed the green LED as expected. Attempting to open the door, however, failed. Somehow, the bolt lock was... locked. Our assumption had always been that you could only engage that lock from the inside. Could there be someone in our room? Thankfully, the maintenance man showed us how to reenter the locked room with a short length of stiff wire. Did you know it only takes about 15 seconds? The prepackaged breakfast pastries were well preserved. The 2% milk was cold. No regrets.

Nice manager, but wouldn't recommend this motel, especially if there are respiratory problems.
