“Great Location”

It is a great location. The rooms are clean but out dated. 2 of the lights in the room didn't work. Great breakfast.

“Great hotel in Fresno”

The University Square Hotel was clean, well-located and reasonably priced. I will definitely return if I need to be in Fresno.

Area recommendations

We were in Fresno for the California state cross country championship races. Woodward Park, where the races were held, was lovely. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

“Good Place to Stay”

We were recommended to book this hotel for a Fresno family visit over the Thanksgiving holiday. I called and they stated a two day minimum. I went to website to find lodging - this hotel came up as an option. I booked it online thru Expedia and was able to get it for one night as I wanted. We will use this hotel in the future. Accomedations were great.

The hotel desperately needs to be renovated. Probably was a nice place in the 60's.

“Sorry isn't enough anymore”

Check-in was at 3pm, but it wasn't until after 5:30 that they called to tell me my room was ready. I was flexible and had to change my clothes in the restroom. The lady with the 4 year old was livid. The room was fine, the breakfast good, location next to Fresno state and surrounding area great. Stay there again? I would probaly try someplace new.

“Huge room!”

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was excellent but ended too early for my taste (9 am). There was lots of commonsareas to sit and relax outside the rooms with nice couches and/or chairs and coffee tables. There was a nice bar and lounge area in the lobby. Oh, and a small fridge in the room. Overall, a great value. Definitely worth it.

“Good place to stay for the price.”

I booked this hotel for a few nights while I was in town for a wedding. I was originally attracted by the price because I wasn't terribly concerned with location. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were very clean. I had a few questions after I checked in, and the woman at the front desk was very polite and helpful. I had no issues at all checking in, during my stay, or checking out.
