The hotel falsely listing; "Climate-controlled air conditioning". There is no A/C in any rooms in the hotel. The hotel clerk confirmed this to me. I booked this hotel solely for because of the A/C. It is located in an industrial area, a busy road, and next to a bar. Very Noisy. The hotel is the bare minimum kind of modern, for people under twenty. Still, for the young folks too it is rather expensive room for CHF 118.00 (same in US $). Falsely advertising the A/C and the other issues mentioned above makes it an avoidable place.

no sunday service
this was a stopover hotel on a Sunday night, when we got there, the car park was empty, nothing open. at check in we asked about the restaurant advertised on their website, we were told it was closed on sundays. with two children hungry and tired this was dissapointing. the rooms were clean but felt clincial.

Good enough
The hotel is situated in an industrial neighborhood, which I don't care about as long as the room is clean, inexpensive, has ample parking available, and free wifi, all of which were the case for this hotel. In spite of railroad in the front of the hotel, the room was quiet at night.

This Hotel can't call as 3 Star, there was even not a tea maker in the room, or no curtain in the window. information provided in site is some 2 mile away from Fribough, which is incorrect, reaching to hotel via public transport is difficult.

Colorful stark and modern ?! Oh and Mexicano
Very interesting location outside of fribourg, kind of in an industrial section of town. Not much close to walk to or do. Nonetheless, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at this colorful modern hotel. The Mexican themed restaurant was very well decorated, you would tell thought was put into the decorative details, the Mexican style food, well it's Switzerland not Mexico, it was a good try. The hotel room was stark clean and modern. Great for me I like clean and functional. Now the best part! THE SHOWER, the water pressure was out of this world! I was so impressed, seriously impressed, super clean and relaxed after a long drive to the alps.

A waist of money redecolous breakfast no air condition inning we asked to get refund for the second day for breakfast before going thier but it was rejected by a rude person at the reception that was the food and beverage in charge I strongly recomand not to visit this hotel

Good for overnight
First impressions are of a budget hotel, but despite that the rooms are good. There is plenty of room, the Wi-Fi works well and the room is spotlessly clean. Very limited facilities other than vending machines. Good parking space. Breakfast expensive at Sfr16.00 with limited choice. Restaurant is next door is fine if you like Mexican - that was the only the thing on a limited menu, but overall it was OK.

Easy to find due to its elaborate external colouring. Helpful staff, modern comfortable room. The restaurant was located across the car park but only serves Mexican food. No shops nearby but as close to the main road can walk to petrol station in around 10-15 minutes.

Even by Swiss standards where everything is twice as expensive as you might think, this was a huge disappoinment. Located in an industrial zone packed between a freeway offramp, warehouse and low income housing, at 152 chf booked through expedia you are better off elsewhere

Value family room on outskirts of Fribourg
Hacienda is a small modern hotel situated in a small industrial estate in the western suburbs of the Swiss city of Fribourg. The design is a curious mix of functional eco simplicity with a brightly painted facade representing a mexican street. Our room was spotlessly clean, fresh and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. We thought it very good value for Switzerland. We did not have breakfast but did sample the adjoining mexican restaurant for our evening meal. This was very good indeed but quite expensive.

'Lil Piece of Mexico
We wanted something closer to Bern, but this was the closest (14 mi outside city) that was the cheapest (downtown Bern was averaging $400). The hotel was easy to find. There was no parking directly in front of hotel, but plenty on other side of restaurant. The staff was nice at check-in. The hotel was "minimal" - concrete walls, no additions in room, but still nice. The bar wasn't serving food by the time we arrived, but enjoyed some sangria and coronas. And surprisingly - a good shower.

Friendly staff. Answered many questions via email before we arrived and were helpful upon arrival. We were on route so the industrial location did not concern us. New, clean, convenient, and accommodated four in a room. Good, popular restaurant attached.

Not a lot to criticise about this modern and fairly new hotel, but for us it had a slightly cold feel about it - no curtains in the room, for example. A few irritating oversights, such as no place to hang or place your clothes in the bathroom. It is also quite a long way out of town. Not too keen on the adjoining Mexican-style restaurant; a limited range of food styles, and not cheap. But it seemed to be popular with the locals.

Hacienda near Fribourg
Very clean, modern hotel. No frills but nice staff, vending machines on the ground floor, free internet, free parking. Definitely a good value option if you are near Fribourg. The rooms / washroom are large and modern without that old hotel smell but have vinyl floors instead of carpet. Nearby restaurant is a bit pricey. Room easily fits family of 4. Not air-conditioned.

leider keine Klimaanlage. Am Abend war es sehr warm im Zimmer. Ansonsten tiptop. Betten sehr bequem. Viele TV Sender. Barrierefreie Dusche etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Vor allem wenn man kurz nach dem Duschen auf die Toilette muss -> Flipflops nicht vergessen ; )
