4 Star....really??

It wasn't terrible but the rooms were not the standard I would expect to be honest. I am sure there are better options for the same price.

Harry Potter's Cupboard

Posted Dec 16, 2012
The head of my bed was on one wall, and the foot of my bed was at the other wall. It's not a joke. The bathroom is closet sized. I was told by somebody in town that they divided all the rooms in half to increase their number of rooms. Yes, indeed they did. The only reason it wasn't a total loss is because of the friendly and efficient staff. If you just need a bed for the night, it's okay. Longer than that is depressing.

Lovely Fribourg, Fantastic hotel.

Posted May 31, 2012
Pros: Whole hotel is bright, roomy , and clean.
Location: Walking distance to train station even with luggage.
This hotel initially was a little difficult to find a way to even though we could see it . It was a short walk from the train station, and behind the new location of the tourist info centre. We were given a room at the back with a view of the old town and the river below. Absolutely beautiful ! We found it a nice walk to the old town and were able to take the funicular up to close to the hotel which saved some of a hike back uphill. The bus service was good for those who prefer not to walk as far as we do. We stayed two nights and used it as a base to travel to Bern which is a short distance away by train. Their breakfast was great. Lovely clean bright and airy hotel.

Noisy Disco

Posted Dec 13, 2006
It was a nice hotel and I would recommend it as long as you have ear plugs. If you are anywhere near the ground floors beware! There is a noisy disco that keeps you up all night with howlers in the parking lot and bass in the walls.
