Best Covid Hygiene, I have experienced this year.
This is by far the best hotel for Covid safety, that we have used this year. Their safety was not just for customers, but for their staff. From the moment we arrived, there was hand gel at the reception. Beside the dining room another dispenser. Going up stairs, their was a dispenser at each level, before you went into the corridor. The room door had a seal across, stating it had been cleaned to the regulations. Every other hotel we have stayed in, we took our own cleaner and bleach spray. Did not even take it out of its bag. The towels were in sealed plastic bags. We were asked to put our towels in a laundry basket outside in the corridor, and to open the window before we left. Okay the place could do with a bit of a freshen up decoration wise, but otherwise, the staff were lovely. Cannot praise them enough.

Excellent overnight
We have attend at this hotel on many occasions now and each time has been very good. Check-in is quick and easy with an English speaking receptionist. The room is perfectly adequate for an overnight. The bed is comfortable and the ensuite facilities are relatively small but again perfectly adequate. The hotel is easy to find on the outskirts of Friville. A restaurant and a McDonalds are a very short walk from the hotel together with an Intermarché supermarket with diesel very reasonably priced. The hotel parking is free and secure and the breakfast is excellent value.

A disappointing hotel
The room was very small even though it was supposed to be a superior double room. The bed was rock hard, no air conditioning or fan. The bathroom was tiny and the shower left alot to be desired. The hot drinks machine dispensed the wrong drinks

Just a standard chain hotel. Lacked tea/coffee making facilities in the room but did have a vending machine. Website needs updating to reflect the change to the restaurant next door

Perfect Stop-Over
The hotel is situated in a commercial area on the edge of the town. Opposite the hotel is a restaurant and very close is a large supermarket with petrol station and McDonalds. Finally there is secure parking which is free. Thus the location of the hotel is perfect as a stopover either to or from the Channel Tunnel and we have used it as such on 4 occasions now. The reception is friendly, efficient and English speaking. The rooms are a moderate but adequate size, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is compact but clean. Breakfast has sufficient choice and is very reasonable priced. Overall the hotel offers excellent value and a good nights sleep. We shall certainly be booking there again for both our outward and return journeys to France next month.

Great staff that look after you. Check in is only between 5-9pm. You will have difficulty if you are late! Go to the restaurant next door! Finally, the directions are absolutely wrong for this hotel! It is located off the D925 / Avenue du Parc junction near the McDonald’s!

Business trip
Excellent value hotel - no frills but clean and comfortable and only 52 Euros per room per night. Breakfast is available and quite good for 6 Euros. Stayed two nights for business visits in the local area. Have stayed last year as well. Restaurant next door, McDonalds and Supermarket across the road. Recommended and I will probably be back next year.

Comfortable Stay
Friendly staff, a bit dated, but comfortable and very clean. Safe on site parking (electric gate) as for food in the area, Au Bureau 1 Avenue des Villes Soeurs, 80350 Mers-les-Bains, France. Amazing food, and good price.

Check in not until 5 pm and a lot of us had arrived by then. The receptionist was quick and thorough. Breakfast excellent value.

Very bog standard no frills hotel. Had to wait until 5pm to gain entry so couldn't leave bags. Wifi was constantly dropping. Hotel is on an industrial estate. However the rooms are clean and functional, just nothing amazing.

Thank you for your comment even if what you wrote is false. Check-in 17:00 - 21:00 hours are clearly written, on Expedia.. It is also written that If you plan to arrive outside the reception opening hours you have to call the hotel in order to get an access code. Finally, an automated check-in is possible between 11:30 and 17:00 hours except in July and August. So you could get access to your room and leave bags I'm afraid. Besides, our hotel is on a commercial area not on an Industrial area. Best Regards, LDD

The hotel room was clean , the beds were really comfortable. The staff at check in spoke English and were very helpful. We used it as an overnight stop and it was excellent value for money. We didn't have breakfast. There is a restaurant next door and a supermarket over the road. The car park is secure and parking is free. All in all a good hotel for an overnight stop.

A very pleasant stay
We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and the public areas were very clean. The breakfast was very good, plenty to eat with an excellent choice. We will definitely stay here again when we are next in the area. Very good value for the prices.

The best budget hotel I've stayed at
I've used many of the French budget hotels on my travels but this is by fay the best I've stayed at. The room rate was reasonably and the breakfast, at 6 euros, was an absolute bargain. The staff were very helpful when I had trouble logging on to the internet. Their knowledge of English is better than my knowledge of French.

We had a very short notice stay and required two rooms. We got there late and left early, but the hotel was exactly as advertised. Friendly staff who luckily spoke great English. Clean, nice room. Fenced in parking was a bonus.
