Pros: Very comfortable and attractive.
Cons: Several items on the breakfast buffet were cold, however the selection and variety of breakfast items was very good.
Location: The location was perfect for us.
My wife is handicapped and we had a handicapped accessible room. She was very pleased with the large space in the room and the well equipped bathroom.

Happy with our stay

Very clean room, nice complementary breakfast. Just a little too far from ocean city, about 45 minutes drive. Everything else is great. Walmart and shopping center just across the hotel.

Good Times

Posted May 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for Memorial Day Weekend. It's about a 30 minute ride to OC from here which is great. The room was clean, the pool was good, although a little on the cold side. Wish it could have been warmer so my baby could have enjoyed it a little more. Continental breakfast was good, the staff kept it clean and was always there to help. Loved that they had two waffle irons so the lines for the waffles was fairly short, even as busy as they were this weekend. The staff are a friendly group. I would stay here again on our next trip to MD.

Uncontrolled noise, difficult to sleep!

Posted May 17, 2014
Pros: We liked the room and the d├ęcor, it was very comfortable. The air-conditioning ran smoothly and was not noisy. The breakfast was appealing and tasty.
Cons: Noise levels must be lowered by a certain time. Charge an extra fee if they do not comply. We paid for 2 nights and could not rest properly, not fair.
Location: There are several nice restaurant's near: Restaurant 213, Adams Rib, the Zoo in Salisbury, the Mall, Ocean City, the Nanticoke River Park.
There were some Baseball Playoff's in the area, so there was a bus full of children in the hotel. There was too much noise late at night. The children-mostly boys were running in the hallways, playing by riding on each others shoulders. We would drop off to sleep and soon be awakened by their loud voices, and bumping on the walls. There were several times when the boys would knock on the door and run. They sounded as if they were bouncing a ball against the walls. One of our family members who is a School Administrator on the Western Shore had a very similar experience on the floor where she had a room. The daytime manager did apologize to us and she did give our family member a discount. The manager of the Hampton could not give us a discount because we booked through Expedia, so I do not feel as though we will book through Expedia again. We were really tired due to lack of sleep and then had to drive home. We stopped a couple of times because we were sleepy. The TV in the room had a nice picture, but the people on the TV were not talking at the same speed as their mouths were moving. We were not treated fair to pay the prices we did and not be able to sleep after 12midnight. They would go in and out of each others rooms banging the doors because they left safety lock on the outside of the door so that they could just walk back in without having to use a key.

Great getaway location

We were in Salisbury for the BBQ competition (Pork in the Park) and wanted a place that was close to the event. We couldnt have chosen a better place! In addition to being 15 minutes away from the competition, we had several restaurants and other local amenities to choose from. We also took advantage of the pool/spa. The staff was extremely courteous and accommodating. This will be our destination hotel every year we visit Salisbury!

They will charge your card afterwards!

Posted May 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
I booked it through Hotels.com, and paid before arriving. The desk clerk said "I need your credit card in case of incidentals. That the card would not be charged anything unless I ordered something through the room." This was not the case. The next day, and extra $50 was charged to me card. I called and they said " We do that just in case anything was charged" that I should receive a refund if I didn't charge anything. When I stated that no other hotel does this, which is why the card number is retained, she said 'Hampton Inn does!!" Not sure if the refund will come or not, but I feel that I was lied to, and violated.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 other times and had an awesome experience. This time there was a local event involving dogs and there were SEVERAL staying at the hotel. I did not like sharing the hotel with that many dogs. I was woken during the night by barking and the surrounding dogs were up at 7:00 am. Did not make for a pleasant stay!

Pros: Clean, comfortable, friendly
Short stay but convenient and comfortable. We were visiting Salisbury University and this hotel was very convenient. We can always depend on a Hampton to be well maintained, friendly, and welcoming.

If you like freight trains...

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: New, clean, fresh, great Front Desk staff.
Cons: Better bathroom fans would help...
Location: Only a few blocks to Salisbury University campus.
This is a new, clean, lovely hotel very close to the University. That's why we stayed there. What no one told us was that the very active freight railroad line was literally a short football-toss away from our window and made the room shake and rumble a couple of times during the night. If you don't mind that kind of sleep interruption, this is a great place to stay.
