We have stayed at the Confortel every year since it opened 10 years or so ago. Our visit November 2014 we thought it was a little shabby, however, our visit in May 2015 we noticed, it has had a bit of a face lift. We have B&B as there are so many lovely restaurants in the vicinity. Hotel is very handy for the rail link to the airport in Malaga and into Fuengirola centre. Breakfast is Buffett style, mostly hasn't changed over the years. Across the road to the beach, sun beds etc. we will probably return either later this year or early next.

Nice and clean except that booking a double room does not mean they will give you one. Very friendly staff and helpful too. Good facilities but swimming pool was not heated even when temperatures were low. Good breakfast and excellent evening entertainment.

Just got back from our 2nd stay in the last 6 months at the hotel Yaramar, we only booked BB for our 7 day's.
cannot fault the staff or location of the hotel(right on the beach front), we do agree that the rooms are starting to look at bit tired but are kept clean by the staff.
The hotel it self does acknowledged that the rooms do need upgrading and have begone a refurbishing plan of all of the rooms, the breakfasts are extremely good and cover all tastes and needs.
The only gripe if there has to be one, they shouldn't be charging 10 euros a week for use of a old empty small fridge which doesn't work properly!
But hay it cannot be that bad we will be back in 4month's

We booked this hotel because of its location and the reasonable room rates. Check in was quick & straight forward. WiFi code was supplied and it worked well in our room which was on the 5th floor. The rooms are a great size. View was excellent. The 1bed apartment was huge for the 2 of us. The room was clean if a little dated. Bathroom was OK. Plenty of hot water. The TV is frustrating because there are so few English channels even though there are 50+ channels programmed in. We weren't in our room much so it didn't really matter. We didn't use the pool area but it looked fine.
We had a comfortable 2night stay and the location is excellent. However, it is in a noisey area of Fuengirola & i would recommend using earplugs to sleep in! The resort was quiet during our stay in April so I would not want to stay here in the summer just because of the noise from the harbour bars and the roads outside. It must be difficult to sleep!
We didn't bother with breakfast. There are many places close by where you can buy one cheaper. There is also a supermarket across the road with a lovely bakery if you don't want a cooked breakfast.
Overall I was pleased with the Pye. It was just what we needed for our 2 night stay. If you want a touch more luxury in your accommodation, less noise & a nicer area of Fuengirola you should book an alternative hotel further up the coast.

The hotel and the staff were lovely. It's in a quiet location so perfect if you want that but if not hire a car and then it's easy to get everywhere eg the beach, local shop or Marbella. Your high up so its steep, walking may not suit most!
We had a suite which was lovely but a few niggles, not a lot of sink space, 2 small bathroom areas are great, 2 showers and 2 toilets but not a lot of space to put your stuff out. Not awful by any means but go light on toiletries! Great room though, lovely.
The shower upstairs also leaks all over the floor as the shower floor doesn't slant. Just be careful!
Also half board does not include any drinks at all. Not even soft drinks with dinner which we didn't realise. Food in the evenings isn't great either. As with most buffets, food gets cold and not great or tasty food. Having said that though breakfast is great!
There is also not a lot of space around the pools and they get taken up quickly. They were renovating one of the pools when we were there which was a shame and the bar area on the roof top so perhaps this will change when all is open again.
I would def go again but only do b&b. Memorable, lovely and great staff.

Fuengirola boasts eight kilometres of sandy beaches, flanked by high-rise hotels. Although heavily developed, it retains some local identity and glimpses of its historic past. The old port features traditional fishing boats, while the new marina has sleek yachts. A water park, zoo and water sports are the principal diversions while the weekly flea market is the largest and liveliest on the coast. For a glimpse of yesteryear visit neighbouring Boliche.
