Not the best choice of hotel
8 nights half board stay from 25/03 to 03/04. Until April there was no animation at all, after that very poor. For the first time ever in my life I have been charged for a tap water in the restaurant and which is even worse the waiter even didn't told me that I should pay for a glass of water which I didn't touch at all. The hotel is on really high stip hill around 30 mins walking distance from the beach. I have 3-4 holidays during the year. Always stay in a 4 star hotels. From my experience until now this was worst 4 star hotel in my life. If I can say something good about the hotel I can mention the sun loungers which looked like new and actually were really comfortable

Poor but made good by the other guests
The food was of poor quality, fried or boiled food really low quality. Beds were uncomfortable and the showers were a nightmare. No drinking water available one of the days

The staff seemed really unhappy to be there and the service was bad. There would be a a queue for a drink and the one person serving would walk off to go and clean tables. There’s only ever one bar open in the entire resort. This means that after 9.30pm if you want any drink (soft or alcoholic) you have to queue to get one from the top floor disco. This queue was a running home at the hotel as it was always about 50 people long at any one time. Only cheap wine available at lunch and dinner and no option of any drink other that the self service flat Pepsi machine. This was a cheap hotel with no frills - it was in no way possible a 4 star hotel. The area around is awful - nothing to walk too other than a pebbled beach with nothing on. Food pretty much stayed the same for the full week. One night they might add a beef stew or something. As a vegetarian the options were plain rice. Broccoli and carrots. Although the salad bar was okay, it very repetitive and had lots of flies on. This is a budget hotel (3 star at most). Positives were the room was cleaned well and I had a massage for 45 euro at the hotel which was very good.

Ok place
Nice hotel. Facilities look more modern than rooms but ok. Didn’t manage to use the gym or indoor pool. Coffee and on site shop were a bit too expensive.

A pleasant stay, food very avarage, no water bottles for all inclusive. Staff not very friendly. Very nicely done up hotel and lovely pool. Perfect for a quiet week away.

Comfortable stay with good service
Well greeted, good amenities and plenty of choice for breakfast. The room was clean but not to a high standard. There was some strands of hair on bedding and on the shower tiles. I woke up to no electricity on the last day but as it was the last day, it was the least of my concerns. Walls are slightly thin as can hear your neighbours next door.

Don't expect too much.
Large hotel but a bit away from the main tourist area of Costa Calma. Reception was friendly and helpful. We did book the cheapest room so it was no surprise to find ourselves on the ground floor, inside courtyard with a view of ...the neighboring wall. Recommend you have a car but then good luck finding parking convenient to the hotel. We only had a short stay but it still would have been good to have at least a water cooker in the room. The buffet breakfast was acceptable but served in a very utilitarian canteen area. The room was large enough with plenty of closet space but a rather small television. Housekeeping seemed to be a bit hit and miss. On the Saturday we thought we'd help and told the Staff nothing needed to be done but please bring 2 extra pillows. Duly noted and nothing done. Sunday we expected towels and linens to be replaced but instead returned to find the damp towels hung up again but no fresh towels or linens. Maybe we missed the no cleaning on Sundays memo? In general ok if you only need an inexpensive room for a couple of nights.

The hotel was nice, staff very friendly and helpful. The pool and balcony, reception and general areas are very nice. Rooms are basic but can be noisy as the walls aren’t very sound proof so can be hard to sleep at night with the noise of people coming and going. There was some renovations going on, so the indoor pool wasn’t available and was noisy at times during the day with the renovations. Overall a nice place but the area is quiet and rooms could do with updating, but are pleasant.

Costa Calma magic at the KN Matas Blancas
I have been here twice now ,both times i found very good and helpful, a little bit at the back of town but if you have a car or like a 15 minute walk or there is even a bus from outside the hotel, so all very convenient. I would certainly go to the KN Matas Blancas in Costa Calma again the beaches nearby are simply stunning.

Not a good location and resort layout is not good for walking and finding your way around. Need transport to get anywhere. Hotel has good facilities but lacks atmosphere in that the dining room is a bit like a canteen and there is no focal social are such as a cosy bar where guests can mingle.

A good hotel set away from the beach. A handy bus shuttle provided by the hotel for going to the beach. The only negative was that the mattresses have a plastic cover on!!!!

We wanted somewhere for a Christmas break and this place was ok. Basic to say the least, there were 4 coathangers in the double wardrobe, and no mini bar (the fridge didn't even work). But, it was clean, the staff were friendly. It's a bit away from the beach and the town, but we had a car so weren't affected too much

Hotel is far from mostly everything. Quite noisy because of drunk tourists. Reception staff doesn't speak full english well. We are now in an another 4 star hotel 40 minutes from kn matas and this is much better, with coffe and tea in the room. Yeah I know that the hotel's usual response is 'not requirement, it's the curtesy of the hotels', but come on guys don't you realise that everybody keeps asking for it.

good stay, the only minus was that we got a really old and horrible room in an old section of the hotel, despite it was not fully booked the guy at reception claimed it was fully booked and refused to give us a better room. we insisted on getting a better one and finally got one , so it was all good in the end, but felt a bit funny as they didn't care

The hotel staff couldn't be better. Plenty of open spaces. Reasonable drink prices. We never felt crowded. Meal times are obviously more busy but the serving staff couldn't work any harder. Go earlier rather than later to dinner to get the most choice. The entertainment staff Jennifer, Leila and Jorje were always full of energy and smiles. Hire a car to see more of the island.

When we first arrived they could not find our name. we found it on their list. Then our room was not ready. The receptionist took my mobile number and said she would call me as soon as the room was ready. 45 minutes later still no call I went back to reception to check. The room was ready but she just didn't call. I upgraded to include breakfast. I wished I hadn't. The dining room was like a canteen and the buffet was far from what you would expect in a supposedly 4 star hotel. Room Cleaners were Excellent.

The staff at reception was rude, unprofessional and racist. They continuously followed my movements since the first night and assumed facts that never occurred. My niece live in the island of La Palma and she came to visit me 2 days at the beginning of my stay at the hotel. She was staying in a nearby apartment with a girlfriend of hers but early in the morning she came to the hotel to pick me up for visiting the island. The staff accused me that she spent 2 nights with me and wanted me to pay extra 40. They did this accusation in front of other customers. I refuse the accusation and told them I would talk to them later in private. When I asked to talk in private later on the same day, they also were attending other customers but the same receptionist said I could talk to them freely because the customers were "guiris" - derogative/ racist Spanish term to call non-Spanish- I could not believe it and waited to speak to him alone. The following day I reported the case to the reception manager the full incident.

Good but have transport.
The hotel is nice enough. We were lucky enough to hire a car and find the best beaches and view points, without the car it would have been a limited for things to do. Nearest beach or shopping complex would have been 40/50 minutes walk at least. The nearest and best beach for tourists and the best beach on the island is in Morro Jable, Californian type area/shops and restaurants. Hire a car with budget its not the cheapest company but still £41 for the whole week, they don’t bother about scatches under 10cm.

quiet but that's what I wanted
The hotel staff were amazing, I arrived after a very distressing journey and the lady (ginger) on reception greeted me by first name and saw I needed looking after ❗️ The hotel itself is just about to have a facelift so there wasn't many guests and that made it quiet , luckily I needed that anyway . The pool was absolutely freezing but apparently that was because of the refurb. Food was ok , shop was pricey , rooms and hotel were very clean . All in all I would probably go back as the staff were fantastic .

Amazing hotel and Island is wonderful- MUST SEE
lovely time at the hotel, would go again AND IVE TOLD ALL MY FRIENDS very clean and friendly staff. the hotel food was faultless, lots of choice and freshly prepared special shout out to the events man- guy with the afro. the shooting competition,bingo and your company was great! He was easily the highlight of the hotel experience.

A very dated hotel but clean bought wifi but wouldn't work in room only one socket for plug in room Air con was a waste of space an ant coughing on you would have better results Staff v pleasant and helpful but the poolside spoilt with v loud music that would appeal to 18 year old going to Ibiza disco don't know why they thought it would be appreciated by an aging clientele

Not too far from the Beach 10 or so minutes depending on how fast You walk ,hotel undergoing a makeover and should be rated 4 star thereafter very relaxing , Staff friendly and helpful
