“IFA Altamarena Hotel in Morro del Jable”

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The 1st time we had a pool-side room which was excellent. This time round we were given a room facing onto the main road which in itself was not a problem. what was the problem was there is a disco immediately across the main road from the hotel that is supposed to have a licence to play disco music until 2-00am but instead pounded out music until 4-30am in the morning with the vibrations coming up through the floor of the hotel and making it impossible to sleep.The hotel staff who are all really excellent, were reluctant to do anything saying it was a police matter and the police were not interested.It took the hotel 3 days of our 7 day stay to move us and other guest's to alternative rooms that came with thier own problems given the hotel was fully booked.We were there H/B and the Asst. Manager up-graded us to AI as a way of compensating us.As already said the staff are all excellent and friendly,the hotel building and grounds are clean and user friendly. The food is on the good side of mediocre with breakfast being the best meal of the day.The clients of the hotel are mainly elderly German which we knew and were fine with,though they do like to book thier sunbeds around the pool early in the morning.The Hotel is in a good area with excellent shopping and eating places and is very close to a long stretch of sandy beach.
