The overall review for the hotel is excellent in everything. Staff are doing their best to make you happy. The only problem is that there was a lack of communication as they donot speak English at all. You always will need google translate to communicate with them.

Great hotel within walking distance of the busy shopping area. Staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the cleaning ladies. Rooms were small yet comfortable and clean. We would stay again. Try the yakitori place opposite the hotel, it was amazing.

A great experience for a hostel/ guest-house stay. The staff was very kind. The place was kept clean. And the decor was fitting, including tatami floors in the bunk room. The breakfast was just toast, with butter and/or marmalade, but in Japan, that's a great deal at this price. I was able to sleep in as much as I wanted, as long as I dealt with the sounds of cleaning and vacuuming over the noon hour(s).
The only real negative is it's location. It's the one direction you don't want to go from Hakata Station. It's a 15 minute walk once you know where you're going and if you walk fast. The first time it took me closer to an hour to find the place. There isn't too much around, except your usual small restaurants, a convenience store, and an unusually large Pachinko Palace, given the area. Bikes can be rented to help make the travel easier, and the bus stop to the station isn't far away if you're willing to wait for it.
Overall, a pretty great place.

It is only a 5-min walk from Hakata Bus Station. We took a cab because we had a lot of luggage and it only cost us the flag-down rate of 560 yen! Transportation will be a breeze if you stay in this hotel. For example, it is also very accessible to the 100 yen green bus loop. Right infront of the hotel is a bus stop. And right across the hotel is another bus stop. Isn't that great! Just hop on the 100 yen loop and you get to places like Canal City (2 bus stops away), Tenjin, etc. We didn't take the train, but it is just a 5-min walk to the Hakata Train Station.
The hotel is also accessible to eating places. Just across is Sukiya and Family Mart. Right at the corner on the right is a 7-11 convenience store. There's also a vending machine at the ground floor and the 13th floor where we stayed!
It is also just a short walk to AMU Mall (at Hakata Station) where you can shop and eat at fancy restaurants. It is also near the JP Bank and Post Office.
Staff are very kind and nice. They tried their best to understand and speak English. On the first day, the front desk staff were kind enough to allow us to check in a few minutes before 3 pm.
Although the room is small, it is bigger than that of the other 3-star hotels in Japan. The bathroom fixtures, towels, bathrobes, etc. are like that of a 5-star hotel. Choose this hotel and you will never regret it!
