Bring in the New Year in Madeira

Posted Jan 4, 2015
We have stayed in numerous hotels for both pleasure and business and can honestly say the hotel staff at Savoy Gardens was amazing. This was our first time visiting Madeira and really had no idea of what to expect. We were not surprised to find the hotel bustling with guests from various countries given the time of year. However, we were surprised at how professional, informative and pleasant all the staff were. They answered our numerous questions patiently. We would happily recommend this hotel to any friend or relative.

Saatamme palata

Posted Nov 9, 2014 on Hotels.com

Great hotel

We enjoyed our stay at Savoy gardens a lot! Friendly staff, well kept hotel and clean room! Roof terrace + jacuzzi, what a great view! Location is ok, taxi to Funchal about 5-6 eur, also quite easy walk, about 20 min.

Twenty min walk to town. A few restaurants nearby.

Pros: As advertised on Interet. Nothing extraordinary but meeting expectations.
Location: Town in a walking distance
At checking given first floor "garden view" room while reservation was made and paid for, more expensive, ocean view. Fortunately with one trip back to reception this was quickly corrected. Internet ok in the lobby but no connectivity in the room. Overall fair value for the price paid.

OK – but nothing special

Posted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our stay at Hotel Savoy Gardens was as expected. A nice hotel with friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and a breakfast for every taste. We especially enjoyed the secluded roof terrace, with 360 degrees view of Funchal, the mountains and the ocean from the sun beds and jacuzzi. The self service bar was a nice touch. The hotel is in walking distance from the centre of Funchal, in the outskirts of the hotel district. There are not too many restaurants in close vicinity to the hotel. You will find more and better restaurants in the city centre and further into the hotel district. All in all – a nice hotel, but don't expect anything special.

Bett hart wie Fußboden

Posted Mar 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
