Brilliant

Lovely warm welcome from the friendly couple that own this smart guesthouse. English spoken. Lots of parking. Nice area. Room perfect, bar lack of ensuite (which wasn't a problem since the bathroom provided was large and exclusive to the room we were in). Amazing value for money. Would happily stay again.

Alp Getaway

Posted Sep 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Chalet Charlotte is beautiful bed & breakfast with clean and comfortable rooms. Rooms have access to a balcony with views of the surrounding mountains. Internet access is no problem, and there is a full kitchen available. There are restaurants nearby and you are minutes away from the Grossglockner in Hohe Tauern National Park. I definitely recommend it for anyone that is looking for a quiet getaway in the Austrian Alps.

perfect for access to Glockner Hochtalstrasse

good value, comfortable mattresses, wish room had darkening curtains, but it wasn't too bad when we used a blanket to block some of the morning light (clearly we're not early birds), we had our own bathroom off the hallway which was nice- very bright and large. The room was off the road (we didn't realize this when we booked), but there was little traffic in the evenings and early morning, and the windows seal very well, blocking all the noise. However, we prefer to sleep with open windows. The owner is very helpful and friendly. There is a common kitchen & living room area to hang out in which is also very comfy. We didn't have breakfast because of the late dinners we had, but it looked really yummy and plentiful. There are several restaurants within walking distance.

Cozy "Home" in the Alps

Posted Dec 4, 2011 on Hotels.com
My husband and I spent two days at the Chalet Charlotte while on a ski trip to the nearby glacier. One of the owners/proprietors, Nicola took great care of us. She was warm and hospitable. She set a beautiful and substantial breakfast for us each morning and made plenty of coffee to suit our American taste/addiction. The house was cozy and the amenities were basic but the location and the ambiance more than made up for any minor flaws in this charming home. Wi-Fi was a plus. Location is great. It was about 20 minutes drive to Kitzsteinhorn Glacier; 10 minutes to nearest town with good dining options; view of the tallest mountain in Austria from the balcony was stunning. We loved it so much we're planning another trip.
