bathroom had a smell-almost like sewer gas back up- your bed felt old and lumpy--pull out couch needs a new mattress - on the bright side your staff was great-friendly and professional- however, I doubt I will stay there again

Great Service!Posted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: The rooms are simple and clean and provides everything that you need for a short stay.
Location: Close to campus and only 1 hour away from Cedar Key, Florida.
Cannot say enough great things about the staff! Not only was everyone friendly and professional during my stay, they recommended a great mechanic when my car trunk would not lock.

The place to stay when in Gainesville!!!!Posted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Everyone was friendly. The room was spacious & clean. I got in late & needed more towels, they brought them promptly. The breakfast was great. I left my laptop in the room when I checked out. Housekeeping turned it in, Manager held on to it. He returned my panic call in a timely fashion. We had someone pick it up for us to return it to me. In this day and age you don't expect honesty but there is and I applaud the staff at this hotel. I highly recommend The Comfort Inn at Gainesville.

Convenient location, but hotel is run downPosted Jul 21, 2013
Cons: Tear down or do a complete renovation!
Location: Location was good and close to the University, restaurants and shops.
From the moment I walked into the hotel lobby the place smelled of cigarettes and glue fumes. The smell of glue became worse as I went to my room on second floor. The bathroom in room 202 apparently had a leak from room above at one point. It looked as though a 5 year old had patched up the ceiling. The wall behind the toilet was bulging from the leak and and stuff oozing out from behind wallpaper. There was mold growing in the bathtub/shower area. The whole place was just run down and not worth what I was charged. The breakfast area was big enough for maybe two people to serve themselves at a time and the feed was undesirable. I wouldn't pay more than $49 to stay in this run down, grubby place. I do not recommend at all to anyone!

Comfortable, cozy bedsPosted Jul 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Extra large room, very clean. The AC was very cold and we couldn't seem to control it, but the comfortable beds had lots of cozy covers, so it was fine.

It's Time to update!Posted Jul 3, 2013
Pros: The parking
Cons: Update the rooms!
Location: shopping near by, and a selection of resturants for every budget.
Based on the location and with so many hotels within walking distance I expected a better looking room, upto date bathroom, and at least decent curtains. The next morning the sun was coming through the curtains like swiss cheese.
