“UF stay.”

This is a basic motel, not a dump like the reviews stated. Very clean. Freshly painted inside/out. No backache from bed. Bright white towels. Skip their packaged Little Debbies for breakfast and go out. Right down the road from my daughter's dorm on east side of UF campus.

“Decent budget stay for Gainesville”

I had a family member coming for 2 nights with no room in my apartment. The two main hotels downtown and near campus were over 150 a night. Many of the hotels/motels had some really bad reviews. Econo Lodge University seemed to be the best bet. Pros: -Clean -Super cold AC -Room had safe, fridge, tv and microwave Cons: -No iron, no blowdryer, no alarmclock* *They will set a wake up call if you ask them. Overall, yeah it's a motel and it looks sketchy from the outside. The lady that checked us in at 12:30am, was really nice. The room was perfectly fine condition for what was being offered. Bathroom was very clean. If you need a place for a relative to just sleep, that doesn't offer much and is close to the University of Florida, this place will do just fine.

This EconoLodge is simple, clean, and the owners are very accommodating. They really want your repeat business and they have mine.

“Good Economy Option”

My son and I were in town for one night for the Gators Orange / Blue game and just needed a room to sleep for the night. This hotel was perfect for that. Nothing fancy, but the room was clean, no smells, and the bed was comfortable enough. If you want luxury this ain't it. If you need a clean place to squat, shower, and shave this is fine. Perfectly acceptable for father / son boy's weekend out. I'll definitely return for future one night Gator events based on the savings over other options. Bringing the wife? - might want to step it up alittle unless you're just trying to manage the budget.

“It was as expected”

It is not a hotel, it is a motel. I wanted and inexpensive place to stay for one night after a UF game. It was exceptionally clean but it is old. Walking to the stadium is doable. Actual distance to the stadium is more like 2.5 miles with sidewalks. I was not disappointed, my expectations were met.

“okay hotel for a game weekend”

This hotel was okay for a football weekend where we really weren't in the room for long, but it was disappointing that there were not many outlets and the one near the door was covered with duct tape. The hair dryer did not work so thank goodness my friend brought hers, and the TV remote didn't work either. The "continental breakfast" wasn't great either, but for the $ we paid for a last minute hotel within walking distance to the stadium it wasn't too bad.

I was very disappointed with the condition of the hotel. Not as discribed! Will not be back!
