noisy highway

Pros: price was reasonable and access to local sites was good, front desk staff were excellent.
Cons: clean bathroom better. have state/feds erect a noise barrier between on-ramp/Interstate 75 and hotel.
Location: plenty of restaurants, stores etc for shopping. Visited University of Florida's Museums,
Room was clean. Bathroom had black marks around the tub, wasn't sure if they were rub marks or mold, Hair (lots) at base of toilet. Rooms on west side of property are subjected to noise of motorcycles and tractor-trailer rigs from I-75 and on-ramp. Staff were very helpful, congenial and professional.

Bad experience

This was the only hotel option in Gainesville available when I booked my trip. The staff got us into our room late so they offered extended check out at noon. The staff came into the room at 1105am when I just finished showering. The room had a kitchen with no cooking utensils and hardly any silverware or flatware so it was not useful. They were not nice or helpful and I would not recommend this hotel.

Kind of noisy in the rooms as you can hear people upstairs and next door otherwise for the price a very nice spot. Would stay again!

Overall I had a pleasant stay. I was able to stay in a room that faced away from I75 which was fairly quiet. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Room could use updating... a little dated look in the bathroom. Clean, bed was comfortable, and plenty of pillows.

Misleading pictures online

The pictures online make this hotel look newer and cleaner than it is. I was surprised to find the lobby was actually an old unused hotel room made into the office. Also, we had to go back down to the office to get shampoo and soap. They don't supply that unless you ask for it. There were stains on the bedspread and the walls and doors needed to be cleaned and painted. It has been my experience that all hotels in Gainesville are overpriced due to the supply & demand created by UF pulling so many people into that area for events, sports, etc.
