Very close to UF.

Pros: Close to UF.
Cons: Improve parking.
Parking is limited and felt too open to the general public. Hard to get in and out of the parking lot. AC was a window unit that was very noisy.

The hotel lobby is the only highlight

Posted May 14, 2014
The lobby is nice and welcoming, along with the staff. The rest of the hotel is tired and outdated. They have done a decent job of making it as nice as it can be, but the rooms smell and feel like they have been used and abused.

Good location in Gainesville.

Pros: Free USA Todays. Other guests seemed to like the continental breakfast, but we found it pallid and went elsewhere. Desk staff provided good directions
Cons: Fix the lock on the laundry room door. It sticks badly and requires a lot of key jiggling.
Location: We liked Bagels and Noodles and Leonardos.
During my 5-day stay, I had to take my electronic room card down to the desk every day, and sometimes twice, to have it reauthorized so I could get into my room. This was annoying and has never happened to me at a hotel before. The desk staff were nice enough to fix the card but just shrugged off my problem. I suspect they were familiar with it.

Close to Campus

Pros: The bright colors and the up to date linens and bedding. The in-room wifi had no issues either.
Cons: The breakfast could include something hot. There weren't even any packages of oatmeal or instant grits.
This was a quick overnight stay for a campus tour. It was very convenient for dinner and the Visitor's Center. Easy parking and the expected Holiday Inn quality.

Convenient

We stayed there 3 nights. Everything was the way we expected. This is not a very fancy hotel but quite convenient for visiting the university or the town. The staff was friendly and cooperative. So for someone who likes to be close to town or the university I highly recommend it.

I flew into Gainesville Florida stayed at Holiday Inn. Very professional staff. The hotel is very clean. The maintenance personnel were always out cleaning and painting. Maintenance was constantly pruning shrubbery and cleaning the pool area. They were always very helpful very friendly always smiling it was just a wonderful experience.

Location: College town, near campus.
Terrible breakfast done on the cheap. Dinner recommendation from desk clerk was for a walk up taco stand.
