“Would stay at this hotel again.”

I spent nine days at the Homewood Suites in Gainesville while I was working in Gainesville. I was very pleased with the hotel and the staff. The staff was friendly. The housekeeping staff is great. The room had a nice kitchenette with refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, dishes, dishwasher, sink, toaster oven. I could fix simple meals so I didn't have to spend a lot of money eating at restaurants. However there were plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. There is a grocery store a block away. I also think the room was a good value for my money.

“Great amenities”

I stayed here on business and was impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the evening welcome reception with free dinner, wine, beer, etc., and the free breakfast buffet. The room was HUGE, with a kitchen, full-size fridge, living room, desk, 2 TVs, dvd player, microwave, you get the picture. The 2 minor complaints I have are that the walls between rooms are thin (I had a noisy neighbor who spoke loudly and had his TV on loud all night), and the body soap in the shower soap dispenser smelled bad (like an old man's musky aftershave). Other than that, I would definitely stay there again.

“My second stay, won't be my last.”

I was in Gainesville working for a week. I enjoyed staying at the Homewood Suites. I liked having a full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishes, coffee maker, toaster oven and dishwasher. I fixed most of my meals. Eating out is expensive and I enjoy fixing my own meals. There is a grocery store a block away. However when I wanted to go out to eat there is a large variety of restaurants in the area. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was friendly. This was my second stay at this hotel. I anticipate staying there again. The location is convenient.

“Nice Hotel”

I asked for a suite with two beds. I was given the room with one bed. I was disappointed that the Hotel did not honor my request.

“We enjoyed our stay”

The hotel was in a great place if you are interested in doing anything on the UF campus. We were within a very short walk of a shopping center that had most everything you could need - grocery store, several restaurants, etc. Our room was great for the two of us. No complaints at all. The pool was a little cold so we didn't use it, but we played basketball on the outdoor court 3 times in our two day stay. The breakfast had enough items to cover most anyones taste. I would defintely stay there again.

“Not impressed.”

Could have stayed at any other hotel nearby at a much lower price for the same level of comfort. The oven-toaster did not work. No stove in the suite. The bed was not comfortable. The noise from the residents walking on the floor above keeps you awake at nights. No flat screen television. The breakfast is ordinary. Some of the Front desk staff need to be more customer friendly.

“Way too noisy”

The room was very spacious, exactly what we were looking for, it was also clean enough, however the noise in the motel was amazing, I called the front desk about the room above us ( I think there was a gymnastics meet, all night except between 1am and 6am ) she said she would take care of it, never did, also, this is pretty cool, a dog barked in the room next to us throughout the night, I didn't know dogs were allowed. This motel is nice, it's just the management I think that needs help, honestly I rarely ever complain but forget sleep at this place the noise never stops. Ps- I also really don't believe anyone will ever read this or if it will make any difference at all, I guess I just feel better at least writing it somewhere. Thanks, Dr. Laughrey.
