Pros: Um that it had an open room
Cons: EVERYTHING... except the staff - they were nice.
Location: Gainesville, UF, right by i-75, mall
There was trash in the trash cans when we arrived. The tub is molded, room smells of cigarette smoke, paint dripped on everything (paintings, curtains, headboard and lamps). Towels were stiff as a board and we were scared to take a shower. Two of the pillows had stains on the sheets.... Would never have stayed except it was late and everywhere else was booked due to a basketball camp.

disappointing experience

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Room is not clean enougf to stay, furniture and the room was very old. The room we booked on Expedia; the rear side and on the ground floor, dark, smells and it was bad. If we had not done reservation on Expedia, perhaps a better room on the top floor for the same price I believe we can hire.

in the bathroom was a dirty towel with hair from people previously stayed. The sealing was all covered with mold and some of the spots look like finger prints.

Pleasantly surprised. Very clean room, huge new beds, very nice. I will be looking for La Quinta hotels in the future.

Fine for a place to sleep.

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Cons: This appeared to be an older hotel that could use some updates but for the price it was clean.
Perfect place if you need a clean room and friendly staff. Great for a place to sleep. A bit noisy with a few barking dogs and folks going and coming, nothing unexpected.

Overpriced for Special Events

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: The location is good. Bed was comfortable and clean.
Cons: Consistency in hotel booking policies. Work with guests, especially when they have paperwork that shows what they were quoted.
Location: There are restaurants and a mall nearby.
This hotel is typically $79-$89/room. For graduation, we paid $236 for the room which was ridiculous for this level of hotel. However, it was the only one left with availability in town. It is a basic hotel. For the most part it was clean until you looked behind doors. The base tile behind the bathroom door was dirty. We had very few towels or soaps in our room. My friend bought 4 rooms then was told at check-out that there was a two night minimum. So he was charged double for each room!!! No where in either of our confirmations were we told about a two night minimum. When I called the hotel, they said that I booked through Expedia so whatever I paid I paid. Jessica at the Front Desk said that sometimes they lift the two-night min to balance things out, but then they'll put it in place again. This is a TERRIBLE policy!!!! Be consistent...don't confuse your guests. I felt so badly because I had recommended this hotel as being okay since we had stayed here previously for a hospital visit. I'm glad that I booked through Expedia and didn't have an issue with the double pricing, though the hotel certainly price-gouged for this weekend.

Location: Right off I-75. Red Lobster just in front of it. Many places to eat nearby. Easy access to highway. Centrally located in Gainesville.
Easy to get to. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean, roomy enough for two people.
