I called 3 weeks before my booking and confirmed that my reservation was still good. I received a confirmation from Stayable Select staff that everything was ready. When I showed up, the lobby was closed permanently. Signage pointed me to another building to check in. The place has been neglected for months. Trash everywhere. Squatters. Broken glass. No staff was answering the phones. Eventually I texted the number and received a text that my reservation had been cancelled. Absolutely horrible experience.

HOTEL SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARNING
We arrived for check-in, and the hotel was completely shut down, with a security guard out front turning people away. We had to find an available hotel immediately to accommodate our family. Our family needs a refund. This put a huge strain on our vacation.

Stayed here in 2017, so booked again in 2023. Our second trip was far less pleasant than our first. Totally understand that they are doing construction, but our first room had no A/C & a broken, unmade bed. So, we were given a second room. However, once moved in there, we were told we were given the wrong room. We moved all of our stuff again, only to learn it was indeed the correct room. These moves made us late to our event. Staff was kind, but unorganized & we didn't feel the price matched our experience. Won't stay here again.

The hotel is currently under construction but the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Food at the restaurant is excellent.

No-Frills Stay
This location was originally a Wyndham hotel. The room was big, and the lake view off the balcony was pretty. The hotel is now older. Our room had peeling paint, a hole in the bathroom door, missing the stopper in the sink, and teeny tiny bugs in the bathroom. Our room only had two lamps, so it was dark, but it did have a microwave and mini fridge. This is a no-frills stay - no cable, no water fountain, and no working ice maker on location. There is no front desk but a registration suite open for a short time, and no phone in your room. However, the staff is friendly, and they respond to your texts. If you want a place to run in, shower, and sleep, then this location will meet the bill.

There was no staff at check in. It was a security guard who checked us in. Then we had to pay a $100 security deposit according to the security guard. The receipt I received doesn’t say it was for a security deposit. Just left and there was no one - not even a security guard to check out. Left our keys on the counter with 20 other peoples keys and am hopeful someone will refund my security deposit. Thank goodness it’s on my credit card so I can at least dispute it. Also - the neighbors had their tv on loud all night and you could hear it in our room - kept us awake throughout the night.

I went to three buildings to try and find check in and finally had to call the over the seas number to find where to check in at and it was very inconvenient. I walked in and the hallways were filled with fans trying to dry the doors and rooms. There was paint pilling and mold on the walls. Very disturbing

ABANDONED MOTEL THAT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM EXPEDIA. I arived at 10pm to an abandoned building. Lobby was closed and looked abandoned with a sign to go to back of building for check-in. Arrived at said building to a utility closet door that was also closed with a phone number to call for check-in. No one answered the phone. Guy sitting in his car doing drugs just staring at us while we were in the back of a sketchy abandoned building in the dark. Felt very unsafe and didnt want to risk my life standing their spamming their phone hoping they will answer so i can check in. They also texted me on my personal cell as soon as i made the booking a link for credit card payment of $100 separate from Expedia. I never made the payment as i thought it was sketch and would rather pay deposits in person. I felt very unsafe and would rather sleep in my car then this place. Expedia never issued me my refund. I rather lose $60 then stay here and risk getting murdered or robbed. DO NOT STAY. IT IS A SCAM!

Never again.
Wouldn't ever stay here again at half the cost. Nice lady at "desk" (which was a guest room), but the property itself is very substandard. Have to leave a deposit (you get a text about an hour before you check in). It is extended housing for some community members, smells of smoke in the hallway and one long term renter filled us in on all of the "be careful" issues. Have photos of a dry rotted lamp shade, an AC unit off its base, base board stains, black mold on the door frame and the view outside our balcony (overflowing dumpsters). Reviews were promising, but the reality is that it isn't a place you want to stay. Couple of positives - bathroom was clean and up to date and the beds/linens seemed clean.

100 PERCENT GARBAGE
This hotel is apparently under renovation. They didn’t have anyone available at the check in desk. Doors were locked everywhere. Finally had a door unlocked for us to check in, only to have the one person managing check ins to abruptly leave to meet the fire department outside because fire alarms were going off everywhere in the facility. Once the individual returned and apologized we said there was absolutely no way we were checking in to this hotel. There were four other persons that had already checked in who came to get a refund and leave. DO NOT ever stay at this place!!! Don’t be cheap like I was trying to be. It is an unsafe place to stay on so many levels!

Disgusting hotel.
This hotel is nothing like the pictures on website. It is disgusting. Please spend the few extra dollars and go to another one. We had bad bed bugs and ants and roaches throughout our room and no one to complain too. There was not any employees present unless in the morning. Ridiculous hotel.

Disappointed in my first stay with this place
Our stay wasn’t what we wanted. The hotel is still being put together. Office stays closed. It took us an hour to check in. We didn’t get the room we booked. Then when we get into the room the balcony door doesn’t lock. The room had dead ants everywhere even in the bed. When we went to let the front office know about the room. They said there was nothing they could do.

When the fire alarm went off, there was no management to come and speak to the guests, my room door would not lock and could not be locked, the safety lock on the top of the door was not functional, there was no hot water in the sink, and no trash cans. No management on property. No one answered my multiple calls to the published number or called back when I left messages.

I wasn't even going to review them because I dont like being negative in general, so writing a negative review isnt my style BUT then I checked my account and they charged me an extra $25 for checking out LITERALLY 3 MINUTES after 11am... How petty can you get! So for that, I will give my honest review: This place is extremely poorly run. Three individuals run everything from cleaning rooms to checking in guests. They were rude and keep you LOCKED OUTSIDE THE BUILDING/LOBBY until 4pm check-in time. The room was disgusting! Hairs everywhere, food/drink stains on the floor, NO HOT WATER, very few towels. Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at - and I travel fairly often. Attempt to stay anywhere in Gainesville except here. The lady who worked the front desk (and her apparent boyfriend) were courteous and seemed to be hard-working - I suggest that they look for jobs somewhere else in the hospitality industry. In short, this place is a dump.

When arriving no one was at Desk, Maintenance Man had to call and have someone come in. Tried to charge me full amount again when I had booked I was required to pay already and they were unable to find that information. There were Roaches on floor dead and alive. Very disappointing stay.

Terrible experience. Rooms were dirty, bugs in rooms. They charge you for clean towels the next day or give you the option to wash them in a laundromat. No trash cans in the room. I paid for a King bed, they put me in a double queen and said they ran out of Kings. Attendant told me I could get a King the next day. When I went to get it nobody was at the desk and they texted back saying they didn't have a King room. Given a decision to stay here or in your car. Stay in your car.

When we arrived, the place was quite dirty and vermin was evident everywhere. We soon were introduced to Clara and her staff, who proceeded to clean up the place, making the visible housekeeping evident. If you stay longer than one week, no new linens nor housekeeping is provided, except for a fee. The water kept going cold, and we had to wait two to three days for it to be fixed; it kept happening the entire two months we stayed. The pressure, however, was fantastic! There were problems with leaking water from the room above us, and we kept losing the internet. There was front desk staff only between the hours of four and six, which makes it quite the challenge to check-in, out, or extend. Each time you extend your stay, you are charged a one-hundred dollar deposit, which is never returned. The laundry facilities are non-existent, as are any public restrooms. You must remove your trash from your room and take it to the dumpster at the edge of the property, which is a bit of a walk, but made for daily exercise. Early on, the people staying were very inconsiderate of others as far as noise levels go, however, as our stay progressed, a more civil group of people began to register as guests. Rather expensive for what they (don't)offer, however I hope they can fix this place up because the location is perfect, the building is sturdy, and the staff is pleasant and responsive, once you can get a hold of them!

Dirty Hotel in Gainesville
The room was disgusting. Dead bugs floated out of the drain in the shower. The floor was dirty throughout the entire room. The chair had stains on it and was sticky. Stains on the curtains. Dead bugs on the bathroom wall. The door frame going into the room was loose. Looks like the door had previously been kicked in. Went to check out and no one was in the office, tried calling and no one answered. Called the stayable select main number as was advised to slide the key under the door and they would check me out. Got a call 2 hours later to confirm my request to stay an additional day. Advised them that I had checked out and would not be back. I had additional reservations for this hotel but after this I changed them. I have no plans of ever going back to this place.

Deplorable and Disgusting
This hotel is uninhabitable, smelly sheets, dirty room, no front desk, they are locked behind a door that they don't open. There is a phone number to call them, they do not answer. The building is under construction and they shouldn't be renting rooms. It was the most disgusting place I've ever stayed at.

There was no reception at all. Room smelled like cigarettes and was dirty. Bed sheets smell like man’s perfume mixed with cigarette. Loud people around room. This is a rental unit, not a hotel at all. Many people live in the property. Room was dirty. I did not sleep there. I booked another hotel and got my things from the room. Did check out the morning after. Did not even want to stay the two nights I had paid for, REALLY REALLY BAD. Do not book this hotel.

Booked here often. I always have to clean before I can get comfortable. The last time I booked. Whenever I arrive the security guard tried to help check in but no success. I lost my money and had to book another hotel which was amazing Hom Suite

Check in was a joke! The main building is closed for renovations and had a make shift check in area that’s only open 4-6pm, had to track down girl to check in, hallways stunk, trash piled by elevator, elevator smelled of body waste and mold, room was filthy, a/c was dirty, no coffe in rooms, the pics showing hotel are over 6 years old when it was a different hotel chain. Because I booked cheaper rate was not given any refund and I didn’t stay over 20 mins.
