Overall decent experience for the price. Room was clean except for a large stain on one of the two chairs. We only used our room to sleep.

Good horel in Gainsville

We stayed in this hotel to visit the University of Florida. The Hotel lobby and fitness center could use some remodeling. Our room was confortable and clean and the lobby staff were nice. There is a beautiful view of the lake from some of the rooms. It is some minutes away from U of F so a perfect spot if you plan to visit the University and it looks like it is the best Hotel in the area compared to all the Motel and cheap hotels there.

Hotel Manager was extremely rude

Posted Mar 25, 2015
He didn't even acknowdge me when I walked up to the counter. I said excuse me I have a reservation. His response "drivers license and a major credit card" and then he says I don't have a reservation for you. I said well Unjave a confirmation. His reply was how long did you make it? I replied approx an hour ago. He replied "we can't check you in, you'll have to wait until it comes through and them couldn't even tell me how long that would take. For a manger you would think he could do a little something more to get you settled. But really he just didn't care and it was quite clear he didn't want to be there. What a shame that this hotels numbers will be affected from a manager that just doesn't care about customer service.

Our experience was OK but nothing to rave about. The room was clean and comfortable. The overall facility is showing it's age. There seemed to be a lot of young people on the lower floors and being a Friday night they were having fun. It would be beneficial if older guests like ourselves (over 60) would be given rooms closer to entrances and not have to use elevators or stairs.

Cons: update the gym and the rooms.
Location: Marginal neighborhood. Did not feel very safe during me evening jog.
Safe was broken, noone came to fix it after I mentioned it was broken. The gym had only old elliptical/running equipment was humid and smelled of fungus. The room was clean, but the bed was hard and the pillows were very small. The hotel was along a lake, but you could not access the shoreline and could barely notice it was even there. The neighborhood was marginal at best. Go to this place ONLY if you are looking to save a few bucks and have a place to crash.

Pool was dirty, no towel replacement for second day, bar was freezing cold at dinner, food was extremely salty. The room was clean.
