“Good location, but hotel needs updating.”
My wife and I stayed here for a Gators' football weekend. For a lower-cost outside-Gainesville hotel, the location isnt bad. Right near the I-95 exit, for convenient access and a quick trip to the Oak's Mall Gator-Aider bus stop.
Also, Main Street in Alachua is nearby and there are some nice shops and restaraunts there. Had a good bottle of wine, and an outstanding dinner at a restaraunt called "Saga". Didn't expect a meal like that in a small town restaraunt.
Back to the hotel, no major problems, but everything was a bit old, and in need of updating. The towels were tiny, and worn so thin that some had holes. Towels were also stained and spotty. I have also stayed at the hotel next door... I forget what chain it was, maybe Econo Lodge?, and it was a bit nicer.
