Great central locationPosted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: It is not the blockhouse soulless building which can describe most of the chain hotels.
Cons: Cannot think of anything.
Location: Central location strategically located for attending arts at UF, Hippodrome, Gator Stadium, aka The Swamp, shopping, dining.
Welcoming Old South mansion. Well appointed combining the modern with the past. Antique furniture, quilts in room, collectible bric-a-brac. Porch, breakfast and common sitting areas are cozy, comfortable. Lush grounds, small pond, restful for the eye. For visitors from the East Coast it is a great location, quick for arrival and getaway. It is near the old center with its multitude of dining spots, to the University of Florida, ten minutes from the Harm Museum and the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

A lovely old "style" stay.Posted Jan 15, 2014
Pros: The friendly and helpful staff, its situation and the old style. The interior decor was in keeping with the era of the house.
Cons: We wanted to shower at 7.15am and the water was barely lukewarm. Bedside lighting. Wifi is slow
Location: Good, easy to walk to the Hippodrome theatre, a few boutique shops and restaurants.
These Victorian buildings are situated with in easy walking distance of downtown and good restaurants. Situated in semi tropical gardens there were relaxing places to sit and read. The room was attractive, a good size and nicely furnished. Daily newspapers were available in the lounge.

Not a good experience overallPosted Oct 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Based on our first night, we would rate this a 2, but went up to a 3 based on better results the second night. We were given a 'private' bath that was down some stairs, up some stairs and across the hall. Not at all what we were expecting. We were moved to another room the next night, but the place is a little tight and filled with extension cords to dehumidifiers, lights, fans, etc. Breakfast was wonderful and a pleasant setting.

Outstanding Bed & BreakfastPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Sweetwater Branch Inn is an oasis nestled not far from downtown Gainesville. The accommodations were outstanding, the staff very courteous and helpful and the breakfasts were scrumptious.

Wonderful and very close to UF campus.Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: The king sized bed was so comfortable. The pillows were plentiful, plump down/feather pillows. The kitchen and bathrooms spotless, with ample supplies
Cons: I can't think of a thing. We were all very happy.
Location: Less than five minutes from UF campus and downtown Gainesville. Located in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood. Shade helped with heat.
I would highly recommend this B&B to parents of graduates, or anyone coming for any length of stay. The breakfast was outstanding. We stayed in the Norabell cabin, very roomy, comfortable and high quality. I wish we could have stayed longer. The grounds were beautiful. Staff helped us with campus maps. I needed a computer in a hurry and the proprietor was just a gem!

Beautiful Lodgings and GroundsPosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The building was beautiful and well-maintained. We loved the beautiful garden and fish pond, and old-fashioned outdoor porches. Enjoyed having wine and cheese in the parlor with a lovely young couple from Switzerland. Would have rated everything as a 5 except the bed was uncomfortable, but I guess that isn't unusual in a bed-and-breakfast. We traded off the comfort of a king-size bed in a cookie cutter hotel room for the charm of this lodging and overall were very glad that we did. I would stay here again.

We had a great time relaxing, enjoying new pool, swings, rocking chairs & night time string lights in garden. Good chocolate brownies & candies on arrival, plentiful & hardy breakfast. Quaint room decor & patio jacuzzi.

Had to movePosted Feb 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Had to change rooms as desk said I was booked in two different rooms. I'm pretty sure that wasn't true. Room was an old house with unknown other guests in same house and although they were nice, it was still very noisy. Old house, creaky floors, poor insulation. Wouldn't go back.
