Love the big fireplace !

There Needs to Be Improvements to The Lodge

Location: Great in terms of being convenient for shopping.
Most hotels now have micro refrigerators and microwaves; The Lodge had neither. I have medication that I take daily that needs to be refrigerated, so I was forced to use a cooler and collect ice on a daily basis to keep the medication cool. The breakfast was fair, there was sausage every other day, not every day. Most travelers appreciate the presence of some REAL meat protein on the breakfast each day, not some substitute (which was sausage gravy in this circumstance, this is an insult to the traveling and lodging public).

After a long road trip happy hour (free) a bonus Grandaughter a Senior Gator and we will miss our many stays there...will always be a stop heading to the north of Fl!!

Great location for shopping

Pros: complimentary breakfast business center with computer and printer outdoor pool
Cons: Front desk agent was on a lengthy phone call while I waited. I would suggest putting caller on hold to let another agent know to come to the front.
Location: Short drive to Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. Adjacent to freeway onramp. Excellent walking distance to shopping and dining.
First time I stayed here, and found it to be a great location for shopping and dining. So many stores and restaurants (both fast food and sit-down) within walking distance. The free breakfast was ample in pleasant surroundings. Beautiful lobby.

Nice stay-not so nice breakfast

Location: Adequate, close to the university
When I arrived, work was being done on the parking lot and there were no signs directing us where to go. But, when we finally figured it out the staff was gracious and accommodating. The room, although a little dated, was comfortable. Had a good night's sleep. The breakfast, however, was one of the sparsest that we had on our trip. The eggs seemed to be made from powdered eggs, there was no meat (bacon or sausage) and other choices were limited, except for the juices. In spite of this, I was happy with our stay and would return to The Lodge.

Some good, some not-so-good

Nice lobby and we walked into a complimentary cocktail hour. Checked into room and discovered wi-fi didn't work where we were, so front desk moved us to another room. Wi-fi still didn't work. Some in our traveling party struggled to sleep due to the incredibly loud air conditioning unit. Ran into another family at the elevator who mentioned the same issue. Complimentary breakfast was fine.
