“Nicest staff ever”

The staff was so friendly and welcoming as you go in and out. Above expectations in all aspects. 24 hour fitness facility, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, attractive and comfortable common areas, rocking chairs on the porch. And again, especially the staff.

“Would do it again in a heartbeat”

We went to Dubuque for a ski weekend and had a blast. The hotel was clean, the people at the desk were helpful, and the pool and hot tub made both nights we stayed spectacular!

“People make the difference .....”

We've travel a lot and found that one hotel can be pretty much like another, especially now with the chains. As long as they are properly maintained and clean, you don't really take that much notice. So, what makes the difference???? It's the staff. In Dubuque, the hotel iself was fine ... well maintained and clean. What was impressive was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful and courteous. The breakfast was a very busy area but the staff was right there keeping everything well stocked and as convenient for everyone as possible.

“Comfortable and economical”

Located in Dubuque, IA and about 15 miles from Galena, IL, this hotel presents a relatively economical alternative to the expensive accommodation in Galena, if that is your destination. Furthermore, there are some attractions in and around Dubuque as well. Complimentary continental breakfast (bagels, toast, fresh waffles, boiled eggs, fruit, etc.) is included, so you don't have to spend time and money on breakfast elsewhere during your stay. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the indoor heated pool is great for kids all year long.

“Hotel was ok, fine if you want to stay out and away from the downtown, closer to shopping.”

The room was ready when I arrived. The room itself was ok but the hotel was pretty noisy. However, I was at the end of the hall, by an entrance, so that is probably why it seemed extra noisy. The continental breakfast was just ok--would have liked more of a selection. The hotel staff were very pleasant

“Disappointing”

Breakfast Sunday was disappointing. No one to fill anything. No one at the front desk for 20 minutes. When someone showed up, no apology. Then when I got home, found out I was charged twice for the room.

“Not the place to stay for the money”

The halls reeked of cigarette smoke, and the breakfast was not the best.
