Very convenient location to downtown

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Price and Iowa staff.
Location: Great
We were touring the city and the location and price were good. The air conditioner was a little noisy, but liveable. The price is very good.

Meh

Posted Jul 19, 2014
It wasn't awful. Floor side of bed was dirty. Tub had water in it when I got there. Overall I got what I paid for, cheap. Didn't mind as I was heading to hospital following morning so its extremley close to hospital which is nice.

Vacation hotel

The welcome center part of the hotel was nice. Down where the laundry area was it was nasty. Smelled terrible. Rooms were ok. Staff was very nice.

needs upgrades

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: good band in bar
Cons: towels, need elevators, very poor continental breakfast
Location: only went to family reunion
need nicer towels for the high rate charged, and my elderly sister was ill and couldn't come, but if she had there were no elevators and our room was upstairs.

Spill on the Hill

Check in was quick and efficient. I couldn't help but notice the grounds were not kept up. The hotel guests seemed to be more residential than temporary guests and were not your typical traveler. The continental breakfast had been ransacked when I arrived 1 hour after it opened and was not replenished. It was not a pleasant experience. I will not return unless drastic improvements are made.

Booking error

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: It was in a relatively convenient and interesting location.
Cons: Cleanliness and general maintenance. Front desk person seemed VERY busy and said is was typical for Friday night. Why not hire another desk person?
Location: Dubuque is an awesome river town with a great aquarium and museum. It's a nice big little town.
Number of people booked was incorrect. We booked a non-smoking and a received smoking room but the attendant corrected the issue for us.

Close enough to everything

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Shuttle to the casino. Wonderful staff. Very very nice.
Cons: We were very happy with our experience.
Location: Close to Dubuque downtown, casinos and not far from Galena. We kind of liked the way it was set down in the cliff side.
Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Morning breakfast was very nice. Liked the dining room by the pool.

One night stay

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: The outdoor fire pit & breakfast
Cons: Such a long walk to the lobby from room 421!!
Location: Dubuque has lots of fun things to do!! The river boat museum is great!! the casinos. then across the river to Galena.
The hotel was under some construction. However it had great entertainment in the bar. With a great outdoor fire pit to sit around. Prices were surprising reasonable in the bar. the rooms were clean. Very close to get to the casino and downtown area. Enjoyed our stay
