Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa is located on 6,800 acres of wooded, rolling hills just six miles from the historic town of Galena, Illinois. With year round activities, an on-site spa, and rental homes (up to eight bedrooms!), Eagle Ridge is the perfect choice for small or large groups, meetings, families, or couples looking to escape and relax. One of our focuses is on creating memorable family vacations, so don’t forget the family pet: many of our accommodations are pet friendly allowing canine companions of up to 50 pounds!

In addition to our on-site amenities above, Eagle Ridge offers a dry sauna, steam room, tennis courts, sand volleyball and a playground. For those who wish to explore the Galena Territory, the options are almost limitless! Eagle Ridge is on the banks of Lake Galena providing easy access for swimming, fishing, or boating. If you’d prefer to stay dry but still enjoy the lake, why not take a hot air balloon ride? One hour flights give you a birds’ eye view of Galena Territory to as far away as Dubuque, Iowa. If the kids aren’t fond of going up in a hot air balloon, there are plenty of ground-based activities: hiking, biking, and horseback rides are great options. And if you’re considering a stay during winter, we offer cross-country skiing, sledding, and ice skating.

Eagle Ridge is renowned for its championship golf – and as such it deserves a paragraph on its own! Our crowning achievement, The General, has been ranked in the top 100 golf courses for the 12th year running by Golf Digest magazine. The General is an 18-hole, par 72 course designed by two-time U.S. Open Champion Andy North. The General was co-designed by Roger Packard, who designed our other three courses: two 18-hole par 72 courses on the North and South, and a 9-hole par 34 course on the East.

Eagle Ridge offers five distinctly different dining venues, all located on property. Aside from room service, dining options include Woodlands Restaurant & Lounge, Spikes Bar & Grill, Paisanos, and The General Store Bakery & Deli. Golfers: don’t worry about taking food with you before you tee off – the clubhouse at each of our courses provides light snacks with a full bar service and soft drinks. Whether you’re looking for sandwiches, pizza, bar food, or drinks, Eagle Ridge has you covered.
