Location: We love Dubuque and Galena
Would be much better if it was way more clean had a pool and hot tub

Pros: Kitchen
Cons: The kitchen floor is sticky, the pillows need to be more firm.
Overall, not too shabby. The pillows need help. Not enough stuffing in them.

Hotel was fine

No pool, only clean room once a week, but it was nice having the bedroom seperate.

The only thing that's different from the past Main Stay's is everybody has cheapened the breakfast selection.

Extremely basic accommodations.

Pros: There were restaurants nearby and with in a mile of a major grocery store.
Cons: Have ionizers for smoking rooms. Hotel was booked and they can cross utilize smoking rooms if they got rid smell to provide better service.
Location: Location was okay - there were restaurants nearby and a major grocery store. We were there for 2 days visiting family - so don't have much info.
The hotel smelled of smoke - even some of the nonsmoking rooms. Staff was friendly enough, except when we wanted to change from smoking room to non smoking room, they were reluctanct to even look into it once they realized we booked through Expedia (because you're prepaid, I need to go through my supervisor). We were not looking for a room that had more - just a non smoking room. The room reeked of smoke (which I guess is to be expected for a smoking room). We chose it because we were visiting family and this was closest to their house and because they had breakfast included - which is always nice to have a simple breakfast included. But their breakfast was pretty disappointing. An hour before closure a lot of items were very low and dried up looking. The coffee was empty and the decaf was cold - not tepid or warm, but cold. Thankfully, we were in Dubuque for family - and not for the hotel experience.

CNC Installation Trip

Pros: Close proximity to the main highway. Resturants within walking distance. Soda machine was pleasantly priced. Daily paper always available.
Cons: First, I would start with revamped breakfast selection with better options. Management should be available during the midweek "hot dog social".
I've stayed at extended stay hotels in the past in other parts of the country. I thought I would give this hotel a try. For the business traveler, it is pretty cost effective. However, there were a couple of things that I was a bit disappointed with. The staff was very friendly and helpful regarding points of interest needed while staying (i.e. resturants, shopping, gas stations). During the middle of week, the hotel offered "chili dog social" for the guests. Management should be there to oversee that gathering. They ran out of buns, hot dogs, and could have used extra condiments, and sodas to go with the chili dogs. The towels in bath were plentiful, clean and absorbant. I guess my biggest concern was the size of the suite itself. It appeared to be a little crowded in the master bedroom with the furniture, and the kitchen area was a little small. The was no seperate desk area for computer, had to use the kitchette table. The walls and floors were a bit thin and I could hear other guest above, below and beside me.

W ont stay there EVER agsin

They treated us like 2nd class citizens because we used Expedia. It was not a good experience. It was the filthiest room we ever stayed in.
