Stoney Creek Inn

My wife & I stayed at this hotel last year so I booked it again when planning a weekend with my in-laws. The people that manage this property couldn't be nicer. Even on a crowded weekend (big bike race) they took the time to answer questions, make a pizza, etc.. The hotel itself is in a strip mall about a half mile from downtown Galena but for the price you can't beat it. We'll stay here again. One other recommendation, try the Goldmoor Inn for fine dining and mostly for the view of the Mississippi. It's worth it.

Quick one night stay in Galena for anniversary. We have stayed in Galena many times so have a good idea of value. Stoney Creek is good, not great. No big complaints at all. Staff was friendly and efficient, rooms seem a bit dated in some aspects but still nice. Overall good stay but I wouldn't want to pay regular price for a room here.

great romantic getaway only 2 hours from Chicago. Hotel staff were great. Only downside was mattress too hard.

It was a commfy, cozy nice relaxing place to stay not far from downtown Galena. My only complaint about the stay is on line says the beds were a queen, if there they were awful small. The second bed in our room was either stained or wasnt cleaned on the white bed skirt they had made the bed with.

This is a really cute, comfortable, inviting hotel. It's great for families- convenient to everything, pool, free breakfast, charming decor. The room was small, but VERY clean. We'd stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in the hotel for a weekend getaway to Galena. Close to Downtown and everything was very clean. No complaints! Staff was very friendly and willing to help. We would stay again!

First we found a dead bug on the bathroom floor. But what really annoyed us was finding the hot tub broken-- again! We stayed previously some time ago and it was broken then. A coincidence or is it always "temporarily our of service"?!? We probably won't be staying here again. Too bad, because it used to be our favorite motel in the area. Need to step it up to keep customers!

It was perfect. This hotel had everything. Indoor pool, large whirl pool and sauna. I loved the way the entire hotel was decorated. Painted wall murals, wood carved statues, plants...everything that gave that outdoor wilderness look.. We stayed in the Light House Themed room. It was super clean and it had a hot tub with powerful jets and fireplace. Would definitely recommend t his hotel. We felt that it was priced just right. Close to downtown Galena shopping....too:)
