“Hotel was okay, not that great.”

Rooms were nice, bathroom was a shady, the shower had hair in it so it appeared not very clean.

“Lacking”

The staff was not very friendly and lacked customer service. I requested an extra set of towels for a 3rd person that I paid for. They did not have any "extra"clean hand towels. The room was not very clean. Trash under the desk and beds and water still in the coffee pot. We paid for 2 queen beds but slept on full beds. This makes a difference when there are 2 people sharing a bed. The parking lot needs major repairs. The breakfast was ok but they were not fully stocked.

“Not worth the cost”

This is an OLD Route 66 motel. It is directly across the street from a busy train yard. If you cannot sleep through repeated train whistles, look somewhere else. The bathroom was dirty. Dust was caked on the intake vent. Even though the marquis said the rooms were newly remodeled, there was no evidence of this. The bathroom needed repainting badly. We paid for Queen beds but room had Full size beds. Would have loved to have taken a dip in the pool after a long days drive but, the pool was under repair.

“A tired, old motel with a new exterior paint job”

The motel exterior was good, but the room we were assigned was in need of updating. "Queen size" beds were only full size, plaster and paint was peeling, bathroom fans did not work, drapes did not fit closely to windows to block light, exterior door did not seal and had significant air gaps, bathroom door and walls were old and had multiple defects, finish work was very substandard, continental breakfast was cold cereal or day old doughnuts. Poor quality for the price.

“Desperate need of Renovations”

As a previous writer stated, the place is filthy. The bed had hugh wet spot at the foot. Hotel staff was friendle and moved us to another room in which that room was as filth as the first. At least the bed was dry. Cracked sinks, dirty carpet, empty liquor bottles stash under sink, peeling wall-paper, evidence of leaking ceiling, stairway a trip hazard, shall I go on.

“Will never stay there again!”

I rented three rooms at the Days Inn at 1603 W. Hwy. 66 Gallup New Mexico from July 21 st to July 25 th 2011. We were surprised at how run down the motel was, but since I was locked into this motel we stayed. After we left I found out a I Pod Touch was left behind in room 124, I called the motel four times trying to find out if they had it, a female answered on two different days, and was rude to me. The other times a male desk clerk answered and said to call back when the manager was in, as I work the same times the manager works it was hard to try to call him but got a hold of him about a week after our visit, he assured me his maids were very honest and I let him know there was a male who would go in and strip the room then the maid would come in and clean, we had seen this while there. Well Manager Amad said he would ask his people about it and give me a call back it has now been two weeks and I still havent heard from the Manager Amad. I guess they didn`t find it? He didn`t even bother to call me back. I am now out a I Pod touch that I know was left in the room. I am too a Manager of a store where I live and if I say I`m going to call back, I call back, I also do my best to try to help the customer, after all if we didn`t have any customers we would be out of business.

“Filthy Bathroom”

This hotel said "recently renovated rooms", well I must not have gotten one of those. The bathroom was filthy - something was running down the counters and all over the door frame. The bathtub was so dirty that we didn't even shower in it. There were boogers on the wall next to the bed and the headboard of the bed had something splashed all over it. It was supposed to be a non smoking room and there was a sign saying that they had cleaned it for our convience to be such. Whatever they sprayed didn't get rid of the odor of smoke. All in all it makes me want to never again stay at another Days Inn.

“Bring earplugs”

Don't judge this motel by the pics they have on here. This place was in very poor condition: filthy, broken microwave, peeling wallpaper, splatters of God-knows-what in the bathroom, broken bathtub knob. Aside from that, there's the trains!!! Ah, the trains! It's a small place, and all the hotels/motels are right next to the tracks! So if you don't care about the filthyness of a motel and stay anyway, at least bring earplugs. The longest stretch of time between trains at 3AM was 15 min. And due to the party going on next to our room, and people yelling, I only recieved 2 hrs of sleep from 11PM-1AM.

“Don't stay here”

Where do I begin? The hotel bed was broken and sagged on one side. The water in the shower was luke warm at best. The room was, in general, dirty. The pool was empty. For lack of better words it was a dump. Days Inn typically has been good to stay at, but this one was awful. My recommendation would be to find a different place to stay, even if you have to drive another 150 miles or so. Corporate needs to check up on this location.
