Not Nice Hotel on Seawall
Posted Jan 15, 2013
Pros: The bathroom facilities were very clean. I also, liked that the rooms had refrigerators and microwaves and the continental breakfast was o.k.
Cons: A good old fashion cleaning and new sheets.
Location: The beach, many restaurants, pharmacy, stores and very close to Moody Gardens and the Water Park. Very good location.
Our rooms were located on the third floor the walls were very dirty...needed cleaning and a new paint job. The patio was not clean either and had just one chair. The elevator was also very dirty. The sheets on the beds were very stained and I requested the sheets be changed and was told they would change them the next day, which they did not do. They did not leave enough towels and wash cloths, we had to go downstairs to get them.

not pleasing

Pros: across from beach
Cons: remodel the whole hotel. Looks like at one time this hotel was nice before America Best bought it. But once America best bought it they did not bother
Location: Located across from the beach and not far from one of the main road leading to the seawall.
My room 322 was a deluxe King , but was not clean, wall paper trim peeling from the wall and looked as through there was mold under the wallpaper trim, dirty towels and shower head look like it would fall apart. Railing on balcony rusting.

Not worth the price
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: The location, most rooms, if not all, had a view of the Gulf.
Location: Great location, walking distance from Walmart, Academy, as well as some great restaurants. The beach access is right across the street.
It was not worth the price. It was an older hotel than I expected. I would not recommend it to anyone for the cost. I also felt the breakfast was skimpy. They only had white bread for toast, and the only fruit available was bananas. The one big plus was the location, and maybe that is what we paid for. All that being said, I would not stay there again.

Hotel didn't clean our room the second day. For the location and price paid, the hotel was what I expected.

Book Only If Last Resort
Posted Jan 8, 2013
Bedding, paint and carpet need to be updated. No towels in bathroom, had to request. you had to fix your own breakfast. Hotel in wlaking distane of everything. Would rebook if last resort. Little pricey for one night. Don't wait to late to book.

Nothing fancy
Posted Jan 24, 2013
Pros: The short walk to the seawall beach and availability of umbrella and chair rental on beachfront.
Cons: Breakfast cut off at 9 am is too early for vacationers and the waffle line was long every morning.
Location: Too far to walk to main shopping and restaurant area; near fishing pier and lifeguard stand; right on the seawall
The staff seemed short handed. There was a problem with people coming out of indoor pool and tracking water in hall, elevator, and lobby restrooms. They were quick to respond to phone call asking for more towels and an ice bucket. If looking for a clean place to sleep , close proximity to seawall, and nothing fancy, then this place is acceptable.

Family vacation during spring break
Posted Jan 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Galvaston was great family fun. The hotel needed updates. The cable for tv was no good. It needs more kid channels. They need more blankets and pillows for guest. Also more towels.

Not right now, I'm on a break!
Posted Jan 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The lights on one side of the room were not working. TV Remote was not available for my room. Contacted front desk with the issues and was told that someone would come by the room to check it out but not for another 30mins. because the facilities personnel was currently on a break!
