“better than expected”
staff very friendly and helpful. allowed to park car at hotel during cruise. romm clean and bed comfortable. nice continental breakfast. would stay again.
“Fine for the price.”
The Inn is a basic motel. Not fancy or upscale. Inexpensive but convenient to the beach, so for the money it was a good value. We basically used it as a place to sleep and keep our stuff. It felt like a safe place.
“Great Value and Much More Than Expected”
One block from beach but we went for overnight stay before cruise. Large well appointed room with full size table and chairs. Good size refrig, small coffeemaker and a microwave, nice shower curtain with the extended curve to keep it from being sucked into the tub. Continental breakfast was fine- breakfast room was small but you can bring it back to you room if you wish. Staff was competent and friendly, we were given the name of a good restautant right down the street that was wonderful as weel. Parking was great and very conveniently located next to shopping center with grocery, drug store and some other restaurants.
“MD”
Overall great deal for price. Nice place to stay if you plan on enjoying the area. Not ideal for the person who is planning on staying in room all day. Simple place with excellent staff.
“Walls are paper thin”
Everything at the hotel was great except that their walls are paper thin and there is a door connecting rooms, which is great if you went on vacation with a group but for couples its horrible. Our last night there we planned on getting up at 9:30 since we had a 6 hour car drive back but due to our neighbors checking in the room at 3:30am drunk, loud, and obnoxious we ended up leaving at 5 due to being completely unable to sleep. Front desk did offer to move us to another room but after a week of noisy neighbors, it was too late for that. Honestly the hotel was great except for that, even simple quiet talking can be heard next door.
“Staff at front desk”
I have NEVER encountered hotel staff so blatantly taciturn to the point of rudeness. If it were not for this one feature I would have rated my experience much higher. Unfortunately their actions colored all other aspects. If I were the manager they would be summmarily dismissed. The only decent verbal reponse was from the night staff on my last day!!!!
“Great find on the Island”
I wasn't sure if this was a good choice in lodging, but I was pleasantly surprised.I have stayed in Galveston many times ,now I have found my new go to place. The property sits just a block from the beach and close to several resturants and fast food places. Also close to a Randalls Supermarket for those quick snacks or forgotten items. The room was well maintained. The beds were very comfy.I will return here often.
“it was okay”
bathroom floor was really dirty
“Beachcomber Inn”
A little far from main happenings on Beach but close to Beach nonetheless. Room was clean.
“Not too bad”
This was a decent hotel that was a block from the beach. Awesome location.
