Well Managed with Excellent Service

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Its professional staff, cleanliness, economical rates.
Cons: For the rates charged it would be unreasonable to expect more than is offered -- which is plenty.
The Beachcomber is, quite simply, an excellent choice for travelers and vacationers who seek clean, professionally tended accommodations at a reasonable price. I originally booked for five days and extended by a week. Expedia's "Pleasing" description serves perfectly.

Good location. Staff issue

Posted Mar 16, 2014
The location is good. 1 staff member was very nice and helpful. The other we dealt with was very rude. He got upset when we asked for more towels and refused to bring them to the room.

Nice budget hotel.

Posted Mar 12, 2014
This was a very comfortable hotel with amenities not always found in this price range. The room included a microwave and refrigerator, and the continental breakfast had a reasonable assortment. The room was very clean. The only drawback was the pillows could use a replacement. One block from the beach, and just about on one edge of the commercial area in Galveston. I would stay there again.

Great for the price

Posted Mar 9, 2014
I was assigned to a non smoking room but walked in and it stunk like smoke so I went to the front desk and told the staff, Jeff. Jeff quickly changed our room for us. The new room was much better! I spoke with Ruby to confirm my reservations and she was extremely polite and accommodating. Jeff was a great help and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are great for the price and great for a quick stay. They had wifi, and a small breakfast. The hotel is in a convenient location as well with food and grocery stores near by. Things near it: Starbucks, Taco cabana, Waffle House, Quiznos, gas/grocery,

Close to beach & stores, lacks cleanliness.

Posted Feb 14, 2014
Pros: Staff was very nice.
Cons: Cleanliness
Location: In walking distance to beach and many stores and restaurants
Initially the room appeared clean. Pulled off the comforter, which is our usual practice and they had white spots all over them. The curtains and dust ruffles did as well. Cracked and dirty caulking around the showers were also an issue. While I don't need jewels and gems for a one night stay, I would like to at least have generalized cleanliness.
