The hotel was great for the price! Every room had a balcony that faced the Gulf of Mexico. There was a storm with lightening over the water, and wow, what a beautiful show. The complimentary breakfast was also very good (juice, milk, coffee, cereal, muffins, and oatmeal.)

Room was clean, pool was great, ocean was awesome! Staff was pleasant and helpful. We had a great visit to the beach! We will stay there again next year.

“New Found Jewel”

I really liked the home down feel that you get from this hotel. I will make this the hotel of choice on all my visits to Galveston. Great location, nice pool, rooms are small but you only sleep and shower there anyway, breakfast is cereal and milk and hot coffee. Skip Caseys, they were slow in service and food was average. Go to the Spot about 4 blks away, during happy hour appitizers are half off at the bar, worth the trip down the street, great food as well. For Mexican Food try the "Original" ask about it at the front desk, they recommened it and was every bit worth it. People are nice and friendly in the hotel, can't wait to go again.

Everything was very good. Clean and comfortable beach front room with chairs in the balcony at very good price. Front desk clerks Nancy and Jose were very friendly and helpful when I asked for any directions and invited us (my son and me) to join them for the continental breakfast and for the donuts on the evening. The lady on the front desk and the housekkeeping girl were very friendly too.The swimming pool was clean and beutiful. My son really enjoy our vacation. We liked so much that we spend most of the time in the hotel, the beach and the swimming pool. The location of the hotel was the best thing. A REAL HOTEL ON THE BEACH, at a very affordable price. Definitely I will return to this hotel in Galveston Tx.

This is my second time to stay at The Commodore and both times were great. No problems to speak of and located in a great location. The beach is right across the street and the hotel is centrally located to anything you would want to see.
