“Great experience”

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Great ocean view room plus nice hospitality with coffee, juice, and cookies all day long!

“Great Location”

The thing we like best about this hotel is the location and the view from the rooms. Fitted sheets on the beds would be a lot more comfortable and make the experience even better. A great place for rest and relaxation. Just don't eat at Gauidos next door. You can get the same fare at much better prices elsewhere.

“It would be my 1st choice to stay at again.”

It is located right in the center of seaward Blvd, which makes it easy to go in any direction of the city. Ocean is right across the street and with a beautiful view from your balcony. Rooms are good size and seemed clean. We only stayed one night before going on a cruise. Best price on a hotel that I found in Galveston.

“Much better than I expected”

After reading the mixed reviews, I decided to take the chance and stay at the cheaper hotel. It could be that I wasn't expecting much because some to the reviews were so bad, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is unquestionably old, but the room was comfortable and very clean, with a great view. Will certainly go back.

“Ocean View”

Even though we were there when the hurricane wind and waves hit it was wonderful. We could see the great waves from our hotel. We walked across the street and there was the warm gulf. The pool was little, but very nice. Lots of kids enjoyed it. They had breakfast in the mornings, and fre cookies and milk at night. The room was old school, but very clean. Next time we stay there we will order a freg which we didn't know we could do for a very little price. We walked to all the restaurants, and market. That area is very family oriented.

“Great room with a great view!”

Our room was on the 3rd floor and it gives you an excellent view of the gulf. We could not have asked for more. Can't wait to go back!

“Great hotel, friendly staff and close to beach”

Someone always cleaning, testing the pool and available at any time. Easy access to the beach. Restaurants in walking distance. We can't wait to go back, planning that trip. Oh can't forget the cookies at night the kids loved that.

We always stay here when in Galveston. They have really good rates and all the rooms face the water. Good, central location.

“Clean & Spacious”

The Commodore has large rooms, each with its own balcony facing the ocean. The rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly. It is located within walking distance of many good eating establishments & not far from shopping. I would stay there again.
