Nice hotel across from the beach.

Pros: Great hotel, great pool, right on the beach. We would definitely stay here again if in Galveston.
Cons: The air conditioner in our room was loud and made gargling sounds that made it a little hard to fall sleep.
Location: Across from beach, a few miles from everything.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Gave us recommendations for a massage, food, and activities.

This was a great hotel experience... Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and an amazing pool with bar service and a fire pit... I would definitely stay here again!

Too far away from restaurants

The restaurants and beach bars were too far away (6-7 miles). The pool was dirty and way overused, it was shared with a sister hotel behind it . There was a lot of noise coming from the room above us and no amount of complaining could get it stopped. We left a day early due to the noise and aggravation

Electricity was out all night................

Pros: Neatness
Cons: Some assistance for the elderly such as by friend and I.
Location: A little far from town, which was OK for me but maybe not for some people.
When arriving, everything seemed OK , however between 8:30 PM and 4:45 AM, there was no electricity at the hotel due to a power outage. You would think they would do something for their guests other than say "Things Happen"!!

Cons: Not much.
Location: Try the Salt Grass Steak House on the strip. Awesome food. Best waiter we have ever had "Nathan"!
Very nice local, beautiful view , room was very nice.

I was very pleased with the hotel. I was also pleased with representative Cody. He took well care of us while staying there. I also loved the mattress and pillows, extremely comfortable. My view from the hotel room was amazing. Overall I had an amazing stay. I will definitely return to Courtyard by Marriott

Disappointing to say the least!

Pros: Very little - parking was nice due to lack of guests.
Cons: Proper training for management and staff.
Location: This hotel is about a mile away from the nearest swimming beach. There are many restaurants nearby and typical beach related activities.
3 towels for 2 people - closet space 30" inches - closet rod 16" inches - room too small - poor excuse for housekeeping, our room was cleaned at 6:00 p.m. after calling the front desk complaining. no pool towels, they run out towels at the pool with only a handful of people. No servicing the pool area, service bar closed almost all day due to lack of staff. High price for poor service. we cut our stay short by one day and left early. We are silver members of Marriott Reward!

Only issue it's loud when people in the rooms above you walk. Stay on 4th floor to avoid that. The hotel is very clean and people very friendly. It's a great place to stay.

I loved that the hotel was on the Seawall close to everything. The staff was very friendly. The service was great, especially the free wifi. The room had a little dust in the corners but the bed and pillows were comfortable. I especially liked the sitting areas - indoor and outdoor.
