Hotel staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful, only downside was the mattress was too soft for my husband and he slept poorly.

“Fifteen minutes from Galveston”

The hotel was pleasant and comfortable, and the staff friendly. The provided breakfast was much appreciated. The hot tub was not firing on all cylinders, not pumping well nor very hot, but that's just a matter of repair. We stayed here for a couple of nights before departing on a cruise ship in Galveston, but found the nearby Mall of the Mainland to be suffering from the economic downturn. There are some decent nearby restaurants.

Ac was out not working ,but did provide us with fans.Was told I was gonna recieve a complementary gift card and never recieved it.other than that everythingelse was fine.

“Best Hotel if you plan to visit Kemah and Galveston Island”

This was a great hotel. Our trip consisted of a visit to Kemah Broadwalk and Moody Gardens and did not want to stay in an overpriced hotel in Galveston. Fairfield Inn in Texas City was a convenient middle. The hotel grounds were clean inside and out. The breakfast was pretty good and the beds were so comfortable, the shower was nice and hot. A great choice for price.

“Convenient location”

One of the nicest hotel staffs I've ever encountered! Phone in room would not dial local numbers, however. This was not intentional, and was a fault in the system.

I really expected a little more for the price. Room was clean but nothing above any of the other chains.

“Mixed Review”

We stayed at this Fairfield on our recent trip to Galveston, hoping to avoid Galveston prices, which we did. It's not a bad drive from the island. There's a Ryan's next door and an IHOP across the freeway (which has terribly slow service). The room was clean and well-maintained, but when we got back to the hotel late after a long, hot day, we found that housekeeping had not been to our room. The front desk clerk said that housekeeping wasn't available at night, so she moved us to a different room. The tub in that room didn't drain, but we were so tired we decided not to make an issue of it. They're skimpy with the towels (supplied 3 for a 4-person room), but they brought more right up when we asked. Breakfast was okay--nothing special, and the little dining area was crowded in spite of the fact that there weren't many guests. The pool is tiny and reeks of chlorine.
