Just right for the price
Posted Jan 17, 2013
just right for the price, great bed and room. Lobby was warm but room was fine. Galveston is soooo overpriced, and we only go when we have to so it was fine for the price. Anything less would be yucky and anything more would be stupid to pay, just wont do it for Galveston!

Not worth it just because of water location
Posted Jan 16, 2013
Staff friendly and rooms clean. but $170-270 a night was not worth it. Beds are kind where you still feel springs, a/c is in window and there is a limit to how cool room gets. Parking is under hotel and pool is tiny. Elevator goes 4 floors and no a/c in Lobby or super slow elevator! I would have given 5 stars if I paid $100 or less. All views are of neighbor hotels or parking anyway. . Not possible to check in before 4 and maids waiting on you at 9 am if you don't have sign on door. Just feel ripped off to be in smelly Galveston and pay so much to stay in motel type place. No complaints regarding staff at all.

Satisfied customer! I tried to rate a 5!
Posted Jan 15, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness and prompt service. Great customer service!
Cons: The carpet's were a lil outdated, but on my 2nd day there I noticed they were replacing floor.
Location: The moody gardens and schlitterbaughn are blocks away. Putt putt, go cart racing, fishing pier, and a movie theater very close to hotel.
My family and I stayed 4 nights. We had a great time enjoyed our stay. Hotel staff was pleasant and very helpful. The hotel's breakfast was surprisingly good. The location was good, it wasn't too far out from all the entertainment. I would stay again, maybe even longer.

Location: close to everything.
Better than expected! Great room with dbl queen beds. comfy - kid friendly. Balcony view of the ocean was a plus. Breakfast was also better than expected. Don't miss it. Well worth every penny. Great deal thru Expedia compared to anywhere else! Will be back for sure.

Would only stay Sundays-Thursdays
Posted Jan 28, 2013
Pros: Balcony
Clean hotel near mini golf and 1 pier restaurant across the street. The locals from Houston go to Galveston on the Friday and Saturday nights so the hotel price jumps to over $350 per night on those days. If you can wait until Sunday to visit you will have a much cheaper ($99 per night) and more enjoyable time without being over crowded on the island.

Pros: Bed
Cons: Free breakfast was not good.
Location: Nice on the sea wall but no where to sit on the beach because of all the big rocks.
Great room for the price! Clean and comfortable. Nice beds.

Nice

Great location. It wasn't anything fancy, we booked late so we got a higher rate. It was somewhat quiet, we heard running feet twice and a few slammed doors, but it wasn't too noisy. We especially enjoyed the balcony. Since most hotels are smokefree it was nice to walk right outside our room and have a smoke. The view was nice and the room was spacious enough for two people. There is a walmart close by and a 24 hour valero gas station. The beds were padded nicely and there were lots of pillows. It was generally clean and smelled ok. Breakfast was a joke but we stocked up on the breakfast buns and put them in the fridge for a snack. The microwave worked. It would have been nice to have a DVD/CD player. Overall a nice place to lay your head.
