Everything WAS fine until I called Visa to confirm charges. Hotel shows wrong initial amount + a $50.00 charge...manager was supposed to call back in a few minutes...it's been a 1/2 hour. :(

Best option in Texas City

Posted Sep 8, 2013
This is easily the best hotel in the Texas City area for business travellers - clean, comfortable room; hot breakfast; close to several restaurants.

NICE HOTEL

Posted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: AWESOME HOTEL....OVERALL WAS GREAT :)
Cons: NOPE ALL WAS GOOD
Location: TEXAS CITY...WENT TO GALVESTON...WAS NOT A FAR DRIVE....WAS HAPPY ABOUT THE RATE FOR A SATURDAY NIGHT STAY....GALVESTON IS TOO MUCH MONEY ON WEEKENDS
NICE HOTEL...A BIG ROOM LOTS OF SPACE IN A KING SIZE ROOM...GOOD FREE BREAKFAST...BREAKFAST WAS NICE AND HOT AND WAS REFILLED WHEN FOOD WAS OUT...NICE STAFF AND OVERALL A NICE PLEASANT STAY FOR ME AND MY BOYFRIEND...I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL....IT IS CLOSE TO GALVESTON WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY SEAWALL AND GALVESTON PRICES...AND WHEN YOU DO PAY THE HIGH DOLLAR ROOMS IN GALVESTON YOU DON'T GET THAT BIG OF A ROOM :)

Pros: Nice pleasant atmosphere, clean and comfortable room.
Cons: One employee out of the 4 I encountered during my stay was a little less than hospitable. The other 3 made up the difference though.
The Hotel itself was great. Clean, comfy and just as described. Easy access from the interstate and close to alot of eating and entertainment.

Clean hotel midway to Moody's garden n Kemah

Posted Jul 13, 2013
Pros: Cool and roomy
Cons: Queen beds instead of doubles.
Location: Moody's Garden, Pleasure Pier, Kemah Boardwalk
Great hotel, would give a 5 star if the beds were queen size instead of doubles. Room was large and cool. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs w sausage patties, egg omelette, cereals, oatmeal, biscuits, bananas, juices, coffee. Mall across frontage and Gringos Mexican restaurant front of mall. Whataburger n Walmart across freeway 45.

restful

Pros: quiet ,clean and friendly -close to the interstate
Cons: possibly having a restaurant closer to the property for guests not wanting to go off property!
Location: not much close by-the mall across the street was almost abandoned! we went to Galveston for our entertainment!
we were looking for a quiet, clean, and friendly atmosphere, and found it in this hotel! the only thing they lacked was an on- site restaurant, but the breakfast bar was substantial! there were restaurants close by so not too inconvenient! overall a pleasant stay for the money!

Thank you for your positive feedback. Yes, unfortunately our specific brand does not provide restaurant service. A short walk or a couple minutes by motorized vehicle bring you to several restaurants though. Thank you for staying with us and hopefully you will choose this location again when coming back to the area.

Thank you for your comments. We actually have two rooms with a bath tub and the remaining have shower pans. Skeptical myself in the beginning, I must say that shower pans are so much safer than bathtubs, especially in a hotel environment. In the future, we will probably see this trend more and more. Nevertheless, we hope to see you again at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Texas City, when coming back to the area and hopefully we can offer you then one of the rooms with a tub. In the meantime, all the best to you!
