Hotel was clean, staff friendly. Has free parking in a gated lot. Great location. All the rooms have balconies that face the Gulf. Enjoyed our stay of 4 nights.

“A Great Stay”

The stay at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort was very pleasant. I was with my husband and 18month old son. The beach was just across the street. There was plenty of food joints and stores along seawall blvd including wal mart & etc. The only downside was the room felt humid the whole time unless you had the ac at like 65. Breakfast is not free whatsover. Pool was decent. Excellent staff and customer service.

“Honeymooners Enjoyed they're stay”

We were finally able to take our Honeymoon after two years of marraige. It was long over due, and so deserved. You're staff from the beginning to the end were amazing. The hostess was nice and helpful, the housekeepers were extremely nice and accomodating, the bar staff were nice and remembered you every time you were there. Kudo's to Anistasia, she was the nicest person and always smiled and took good care of us. Even if we weren't at the bar, she smiled and said hello. With the exception of the weather, which you couldn't control, we had an amazing unforgettable stay. Thank you~~The Happy Honeymooners

Balconies are extremely small. Room could use some updates. Comfortable beds and except for outside hallway, very clean.

“Mystery credit card charges to account a month after stay”

Hotel is okay. The hotel has a great view of the water, great location to walk to restaurants, beach and shops. Rooms need some updating. After checking out we received a miscellaneous charge to our credit card the next month. Spent hours with hotel front desk and left messages for manager. Never received calls back. Sent emails to Holiday Inn corporate which sent messages to the manager. With no response. Finally being extremely fustrated-Escalated phone calls to corporate office which then was able to get a customer service manger to refund the money while they researched - they would takeover talking with the manager We were out the money for over 3 months. The credit card company sent requests for copies of documents. None were ever provided!

“Will Not Stay Here Again”

Negatives - Room temperature never cooled down always felt warm and muggy; Room with a view included the back of the carport and 15% view of the ocean; Door lock broke 3 times while we were there, had to wait for maintenance to come repair before heading out (staff was sent immediately to repair, thankful for that atleast). Positives - Location was great; Room was clean; Bed was comfortable (except the A/C unit hardly worked).

“Awesome Pool bar, outside cafe, location”

We had a great time in Galveston on the beach across from the hotel, in the hotel swim-up pool bar, and in the outdoor cafe. We arrived early but room wasn't ready so hotel gave us parking code and temporary key to get into the pool area where we ate at the outside cafe (great location in the shade, good menu items and food, great drink deals-loved the Pearl of the Pacific shaker), then changed and went to the beach. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable but one light above the bathroom vanity was burned out so it was kinda dark to apply makeup in the morning. The toiletries were Bath and Body and the beds were very high and comfy. We would've eaten breakfast at hotel as prices were good but never were waited on then had to go check out! THe video of the Hurricane of 1900 played by the elevator and in the room was very interesting and informative and all the family members watched it over our stay.
