“Good Hotel if Going on a Cruise”

Staff is very helpful and friendly, and they will allow you to park your car there for free while you're on your cruise.

“You get what you pay for”

This hotel is located a few minutes away from the beach. This is a hotel ran by muslims if that's important to anyone. The rooms were actually quite nice. There is a limited selection as far as the free breakfast and no room whatsoever to eat in. You grab your food and take it up to your room. But all-in-all you get what you paid for.

“Excellent Pre and Post Cruise Fishing or Economy Location.....”

This hotel is located just off the causeway on your way too the Cruise terminal and fishing boats. It is about 5 miles from the beach. Hotels in Galveston are getting old and run down. If you are willing to pay $200+ per night, you can get a newer and nicer place by the beach. However, if your cruising or going fishing this is a very good place to stay. It's located on Harborside drive just a couple of miles west. It does set next to a Valaro Service station, but that is a convienent place to pick up a late night snack and buy your Texas lotto ticket. The hotel is older but has been kept up to date. The breakfast area is small but it works. The only two problems that I had were the occassional train wistle behind the hotel, it will happen a couple of times a night, and the thin walls allowed you to hear the neighbors mumbling. I solved that problem by keeping the bathroom exhaust fan on, as well as the AC unit...no problem after that. By the way, the AC worked very well. The beds were clean and comfortable as well as the bathroom. The shower was very hot and spacious. It felt great after a hard days fishing. If you want clean at a reasonable to lesser price on Galveston Island, this definately is the place to stay. I will stay here again. For this island, it is cheap...but nice. It's not the Ritz but it comes at a much better price. I would call it an upscale Motel 6.

“Great hotel for a cruiser”

The hotel is clean with nice sized rooms. That to me is the most important thing. Is located within 5 minutes of the cruise terminal. You can park your car at the hotel and pay $10 per person for round trip ride to the terminal. Front door service, professional, and right on time to pick you up upon your return. The hotel breakfast is not good for the hearty appetite, but that would be my only complaint. I will stay there again if I cruise out of Galveston again.

“Very friendly staff”

I actually forgot toothpaste on this trip and the manager was very helpful in providing me with this basic necessity. My room was cleaned everyday and I did not feel gross after taking a shower.

“Great price, good location, poor towels”

The hotel is close to everything in Galveston, so location is not an issue. You can get to the beach and the Straind in 10 minutes or less. For the price we paid, the hotel was just fine. The only "issues" are the loud power lines directly behind the hotel and the unsightly stream running underneath the lines. Hotel towels are thin and small.

“Clean Rooms / Helpful Staff”

We stayed one night to travel on a cruise out of Galveston. For a one night stay, this hotel was perfect. The room was clean and fresh. The front desk staff was helpful with where to eat or shop. The contential breakfast was skimpy, but the coffee was great. We would stay there again. Offered parking for cruise travelers.
