Pros: The beds were clean and comfortable.
The beds were clean and comfortable. The upholstered chair in the room seemed dirty. The carpet in the hallways seemed dirty. The view over the trash cans is appalling in addition to the ragged house on the lot next to the hotel. The trash cans were overflowing and birds were swarming them. Even the day that the trash pick up came they only emptied one of the overflowing containers and left one overflowing with garbage. The island itself on the sewall had a horrible smell the entire time we were there.

Close to the beach.

It was dated and in need of upkeep. However, our room was nice and clean. It was nice to take our dog with us. He is our protector and family. The staff was friendly and willing to help with our needs.

Random Vacation

For just up and going to Galveston for 4 days this place was pretty nice. Pool was clean, the staff was amazing, rooms weren't very big but extremely clean I mean for the middle of summer and as cheap as the rate was this was WELL over what I expected would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Worst La Quinta ever Stayed

Posted Jul 9, 2014
The tissue box was empty, table is dirty. Overall condition is just not good, it must be a motel conversion to a flagged hotel

One night stay

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The room was nice
Cons: The pool & there is NO parking!!
Location: It has a very good location.
It was fine for just spending the night, but it is run down and would not have used the pool - it did not look inviting at all.

Galveston, why so expensive?

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: A/C was cold, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was hot.
Cons: The price!
Location: Close enough to walk to the Pleasure Pier.
I don't understand why hotel/motels are so expensive in Galveston, considering the "beach" is not great at all??? At best this was a $50/per night room...we paid $240/per night. However, the A/C was cold, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was hot. Also, it was the best "continental" breakfast I've ever had! It was more than the standard Texas shaped waffle and packaged pastries. There was fresh fruit, yogurt, 3 different cold cereals, hard boiled eggs, raisin bread, & instant oatmeal.

Pretty good

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Cons: The bathroom door could have been scrubbed down and the shower could have been scrubbed down as well on the walls of the shower etc.
Location: East Beach and close to the main wall/beach area.
I stayed here on a weekday. For the price it was fine. The beds were comfortable and the place allowed my dog. The AC worked great.
