Pros: Pet friendly.
Location: The location is a little far west, but it's a small city so nothing is too far.
Picked La Quinta because it is a pet friendly hotel. Additionally, I was very happy with cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff.

Nice, clean, quiet, great breakfast!

Posted Jan 12, 2015
The room was very clean which is my main concern when staying anywhere. Bathroom was very clean as well. Beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast has great options such as fresh fruit, fresh made waffles, cereal, muffins, and yogurt. I think we paid a little to much for this season but with all the comforts, I'm no complaining!

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything from front to back
Location: Not sure left the area when the room was so bad. The pictures that they post are deceptive.
Horrible horrible experience the room was shabby. The ocean view was the back yard filled with junk

Pros: Ease of parking out of the weather since it was cold and rainy was a plus and there was different areas for us to take our little dog out for a walk.
Comfortable and easy access to amenities. Parking was convenient to rooms and pet friendly.

Room was never cleaned

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Room was quiet and had a balcony
Cons: Clean my room or at least ask me everyday
Location: It's right on the seawall, and not too far from Moody Gardens.
Overall the hotel was good. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. I liked having a balcony, but there were just a few minor issues. First, our room was never cleaned in the 3 days we stayed there. We didn't have a sign on our door to turn down the service, so I don't know why it wasn't ever cleaned. We had trash piling up in the trash cans and on the table. It would have been nice just to have our trash removed. The other issue was breakfast. The breakfast was very plain and nothing special (bagels, cereal, waffles, juice).

Nice, fair-price hotel

Posted Nov 9, 2014
Pros: Beds
Cons: Staff friendliness, I smile more than some of them do. Don't get a balcony room, they don't face the sea, just a crummy building next door.
Location: Right on the seawall and a few restaurants and my favorite bar in Galveston within walking distance.
Overall a great experience as far as hotels go. Wasn't expecting much and was satisfied with what I got. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was awesome. Only gripe is that the check in staff weren't the friendliest bunch in the world, didn't affect the trip though, so all's well that ends well.
