“good price close to the beach”

West end of the seawall in Galveston. It's old, has been remodeled somewhat, but overall very clean hotel. Room had a mini-fridge with a separate freezer and a microwave. There was no vent to turn on in the restroom; maybe the vent was broken? Parking and hotel access to the road are a little challenging. You must pull into the narrow Waffle House parking lot and go the back to access the hotel. Several other hotel properties are flush against this one with fencing, making the area very crowded with buildings. The lobby was clean and breakfast was excellent, and the staff was friendly. Within walking distance to the seawall and beach. It was a good night's sleep close to everything we wanted to see and do like Schlitterbahn, the Loan Star Flight Museum, and Moody Gardens. Other than the vent and the narrow driving/parking we were very satisfied. I have stayed in this hotel before and will probably return. Not top of the line accomodations, but quiet, affordable, and close to everything.

“Super Duper 8 hotel in Galveston”

Great for overnight stay. Room was very nice, especially for the cost and services they provide. Clean room with very comfortable bed. Our family may try to stay again in the future.

“Got what I expected”

I wanted an affordable room that was clean and comfortable. I've stayed at Super 8's before and knew that I should be able to expect the same in Galveston. I stayed four nights at the Hilston a few months ago, and other than actually seeing the beach from my balcony, a larger bathroom, and a slightly more comfortable bed every thing else was pretty much the same. I would stay certainly stay here again.

We wanted to begin our cruise in Galveston, TX with a comfortable and relaxing night before in a conveniently located Galveston motel. The Super 8 met all these goals. It was clean, comfortable, very well priced and located and met all our purposes and expectations. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous.

My husband and i were on a budget for our 1 year anniversary and the price for this hotel was perfect.We've stayed at a Super 8 before and were not impressed,but upon entering our room we were pleasantly surprised!Recent renovations, nice decor. VERY close to beach,convenient to everything, pool was not big, but nice.Our only issue was because of the weather i guess, we had several grasshoppers in the room, but no big deal. Worth every penny!

My stay in Galveston at the Super 8 Hotel was great, everything was as I expected. No problems, the hotel was clean and the staff was great. I would go back the next time I am in Galveston.
