Cons: The beach.
The Galvestonian is a very nice place to stay. It is away from the noise and crowds of Galveston beach, but only a short drive away.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted Apr 21, 2015
A great place to relax. The hotel is right on the beach so no crossing the highway to get there which is a huge plus. The staff at the galvestonian are amazing. The made us feel very welcome and were very nice without coming off as fake. We stayed for the weekend on a mini vacation and couldn't be happier. The rooms were comfy and clean, the balcony views were gorgeous, the beach was clean, the pool was warm and we loved every minute of our stay. It's far enough off the beaten path that there isn't a lot of traffic so it is easy to relax. These are condos and we found the residents to be very friendly and welcoming as well. I can't wait to go back.

Restful break

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Quite
Cons: Supply charcoal for the BBQ and tools
Location: Quite location but plenty to do if one drives into town. About 12 minutes away. But I wanted quite.
We really enjoyed our time here. The welcome was warm and the staff were faultless. We were very impressed with our room, it was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The bed was very clean and comfortable, I am extremely fussy when it comes to beds. The pool was beautifully clean. Absolutely no music is allowed around the pool area so this was extremely welcoming. This is a place for total relaxation. We enjoyed the beach too. If you want a lively evening then one can simply jump into your car and travel 12 minutes into the main town. Otherwise, just stay at the Galvertonian and relax. BBQs in the gardens are available and the gym was good, not massive, but there are dumbbells as well as cardio machine. Otherwise go for a run along the beautiful sandy beach.

Great accommodations!

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Location, right on the beach. Great staff and very clean!
Cons: I would leave it the way it is. A restaurant close by would be nice.
Location: Beach, beach and more beach. This place is great because it is right on a beautiful beach. Many parks, restaurants, downtown, ferry, close by.
Right on the beach. Nice pool area, hot tub and picnic area. The place was well kept. Everyone was very friendly, nice and accommodating. I liked that this place was away from the main drag or strip. It was quiet and yet close to all the activities when you wanted to take part. If you do not want to be right in the thick of things and enjoy peace and quiet I highly recommend this place. The beach is also very clean and private compared to the other beaches along the main drag.

Spring Break

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: The generous morning coffee bar, the "courtesy" umbrellas, the extremely friendly and welcoming front desk personnel and, of course, the heated pool.
Cons: Happy campers!
Location: Playing at the beach is our priority and this is a beautiful beach.
Our group included 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 kids/grandkids. The 3 bedroom unit was amazing, with views from every room of the condo. It was supplied very well from nice sturdy balcony furniture (and plenty of it) to a kitchen with everything you would possibly need. Everything was immaculate and all of the decor was so tasteful and classy "beachy"! There was a TV in every bedroom, in addition to the one in the living area. The "Spring Break" weather was miserable-cold and rainy- but we still had fun bundling up and playing in the sand on the super clean beach and the kids spent a lot of time in the heated pool. The beautiful facility overcompensated for the crummy weather.

Great place to stay in Galveston!

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: The rooms, the staff.
Cons: A place to eat close by would improve the location.
We recently stayed at the Galvestonian in Galveston, TX. This is a great place! The rooms were well furnished, comfortable, and we had a great view of the beach and the ocean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is far away from shopping and dining, so be aware of that when booking.

Perfect for us!

Posted Jan 20, 2015
highly recommended! Near the end of the island away from the busy beaches but close enough. Condo style with full kitchen. Next time we will go to Katie's fresh seafood for caught today shrimp and fish on pier 21 every day and feast at the condo! Free ferry is fun. Bay watch dolphin cruise on pier 21 is fun. Plenty of great restaurants at very good prices compared to the North! Pizza delivery from New York pizza was awfull. Cold and tasteless. Olympic grill on pier 21 was great. And the best fancy food and service was Gaidos!!!
