Good for the soulPosted Dec 24, 2014
The room was very clean and had an excellent view. Loved the chairs on the balcony. Each morning, we'd just sit out and watch the waves. It was an added touch that they spelled out Happy Holidays on the beach using sandbags, so we got an excellent photo to share with others as well. Highly recommend the Galvestonian and looking forward to next time.

Wonderful!Posted Oct 27, 2014
Location: Shopping, Grand Opry, many good places to eat.
The condo was large, beautifully and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable. There were two balconies facing the beach.

Galveston tripPosted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: comfortable, quiet
Cons: restaurant or deli.
Location: right near the seawall. close to everything but far enough away to feel secluded.
Property was beautiful, close to the beach and just off the seawall.

RelaxPosted Mar 31, 2014
Vriendelijk personeel.

Beautiful views and wonderful staffPosted Sep 24, 2013
We wish the weather was better however the staff was great. We have rented other condos that does not have a front desk and separate companies handing units and this was a much better experience. The location to the beach was great. We fished in the surf and cooked our fish for dinner. The pool was warm on a cool rainy day. Our units fridge was not cooling very well but we were only there two nights and the staff was great about it upon check out. Some have commented on the drive distance to stores etc. I lived in Houston for 8yrs and this is the best location away from the crowd s. A few miles from Kroger and Academy or Wal Mart. All on the beach drive. We also loved watching the big ships come in. something you can only see well from this side of the island.

Needed Fixing~~Posted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: It is a beautiful hotel.
Cons: New carpet in our rooms, Air conditioner fixed a lot sooner and LESS clorine in the pool.
Location: Great places close by for food or pleasure.
Needs a black out blind or a much darker blind in the master and NEW carpet a must in bedrooms. We lost our air comditioning the last day and night of our stay and we had a baby. It was VERY uncomfortable. We were not given some kind of allowance for this inconvience.

The Galvestonian - 08/30-09/02Posted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: The location, the floorplan.
Cons: Wish they had a pool bar! :)
Location: I liked that the location is a little removed from the strip, but it's not too far to drive. I loved the patio and the view!
We recently went to Galveston and were so impressed, that we came back a few weeks later. This trip however, we stayed at the #1 hotel per tripadvisor and that's the Galvestonian. It's a condo resort community. The community exists on the east side of the island, which translates to drive through the whole strip and keep driving, it's down on the right. It's not a bad thing though! I loved the fact that this community is directly off of the east beach and it's less crowded where they are located. The resort has a pool area that is very nice and there are showers available whenever you come off of the beach back to the pool (to get rid of any pesky sand - yay!). The resort served watermelon prior to noon to guests at the pool on the weekend that we stayed. There are areas for cookouts (i.e. there is a covered patio to the side of the pool, there are bbq pits walking down from the pool to the beach with tables and chairs) and they provide donut holes, fruit and coffee from 7 to I think 10 am on weekends. The room (or at least ours) opens up with a bathroom directly as the first door (ours was to the left), then a full working kitchen (with everything you need - dishwashing liquid, coffee filters, silverware, pots/pans, dishes, etc), a den with a pull out couch and a bedroom. The patio overlooks the pool and the beach. Each morning we woke to waves crashing and a beautiful sunrise. I would recommend staying at the Galvestonian and would definitely stay there again!

Close to beach, nice pool, sub par beachPosted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: the size rm/amenities
Cons: ice maker
Location: the rides on the pier were fun, especially for children, but to ride anything it was 26$/person.
I enjoyed our hotel room and the pool/ outdoor picnic areas. The restaurants in galveston were typically less than desirable if you're expecting good, fresh seafood other than the area downtown, which was very good every night.

Quick GetawayPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: Nice access to the beach. Good pool area for relaxing.
Cons: Could use ramp or elevator from lobby/pool level to the picnic/beach walk level.
Location: If you're coming for a short stay, there's no need to go anywhere else. Just relax.
We had a great two days at the Galvestonian. Nice quiet stretch of beach. Nice pool area. We made good use of the picnic area, which had picnic tables and grills.
