The property was going through renovations but it was quiet and the staff was super friendly. The castaway pool was awesome with great food and drink options!

I was given in a handicapped room, which was Barron no furniture a single chair to sit in. I asked, and I was told I booked through a third-party, so there was nothing they could do.

The biggest negative was the mosquitos in the dog walking area, but not sure how they could improve it.

The property provided ample parking for my bike trailer and large pulling unit. The 2 bedroom unit with the kitchen was excellent for our needs. Everything was great except for that one desk clerk who didn't give a damn. The first request I made was never granted nor did she even put out any effort to try and honor my simple request. I walked around to the desk clerk at the Courtyard and she almost broke her neck to find me the items I had requested. 2nd incident I just simply asked if there was an exit at the end of the hallway, "she stated no", my uncle and I walked right down the hallway and went outside. Everyone else was excellent and went above and beyond especially the breakfast lady, custodian, and MVP to the maintenance man. Sorry to complain like this but I own 3 businesses and if one of my contractors was treating customers like this I would want to know. We'll be back!

The only negatives is the property is showing wear and tear, and the bathroom has a very poor design. The tub/shower/toilet area is extremely tight. The door barely closes without hitting the toilet. The parking garage was a great surprise.

This hotel is amazing. I will be staying here again for our next trip to Galveston. This hotel is tied in with the Court yard hotel in the front. They share the pool which is amazing. Up beat music plays over the speakers. There is a water fall. There is the Patio where they light the Fire Pit every night and you can easily make new friends. The room was super clean and I loved the Kitchen and all the utensils. A must stay, especially for the price.

Impressed!
Totally impressed with this place! Staff was amazing and always at work to keep things in order! I had NO complaints about my stay and will definitely plan another stay! You would not believe how many times I saw the staff actively on the grounds making sure all was in order!

Happy 63 Birthday stay in Galveston
The room was clean, the air conditioning system was fantastic, staff was friendly ; the check guy made the process easier and had a good sense of humor. My only complaint was that bathroom shower / toilet area was very small.

I was very pleased with the quality of the rooms for the amazing price I paid for a literal last minute weekend trip. This hotel is pet-friendly so it automatically gets 5 stars for that. I don’t know if only a few rooms are pet friendly or if they all are but our room didn’t smell weird like a dog or anything. My only suggestion is add some balconies! 😁

Not a multiple night vacation spot
The room was incredibly musty, we think there was mold or something in the AC. Hotel staff was notified but nothing done other than *I'll let engineering know*. None of the drawers stay closed if you have items in them. Dishes were covered in dust. Hotel breakfast was very basic and bland. Beds were not comfortable. The pool and bar was fantastic! Our room did have an ocean view. They do charge you $20/day for incidentals but you can charge drinks and such to your room and it will deduct from that, which was convenient for us. Overall, we would not return. Staff was great but stay wasn't great for our 5 nights. The Marriott directly in front of TownePlace is much nicer, renovated, and ocean front.
